Yes eBay can be invaluable to avoid disappointing customers, even if you loose earnings from it, it can pay off by helping to keep your customers happy & loyalAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Here's the tactics I'm aware of to cope with stock issues:
- ring up every so often and ask if they're back in stock and if so for them to be sent out straight away. I can imagine when ringing the non-PC call centre you'd have to be careful to make sure they don't do it as an additional, add charges etc... I've never done this myself but reps on Connects say they do this with any OOS items.
- do an additional if there's time for it to arrive before Christmas. Add a litre of bubble bath to make it come via courier. Again, a better option for PC reps because you get your discount carried over. Still a £2.50 p+p charge.
- eBay. Personally this is my last resort one!I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Clearly people in big posh detached houses don't do Avon lol
Picked up 22 books yesterday 5 dont want any more, 17 no orders.
Picked up 29 books today from places i had dropped before on a few campaigns, 1 order from someone that has ordered before, 20 picked up, 8 calling cards left.
Just wish i could grab a few new customers, have started to try ebay now advertising brochures etc to get some, Luckily my online customers keep me going but really thinking the miles im walking the books im carrying etc are just not going to improve as after 5/6 campaigns if ppl arent ordering,.... will they ever lol x2025 Wins ::

The chances of this bringing in customers you can call on is minimal. I've just looked at the listing fees for eBay classified ads and it's £9.99 every 4 weeks.
The problem with gaining customers from further away is the issue of postage costs and what happens with returns. And what happens if they claim not to have received the parcel. I post things to my mum but I know if she says it's not turned up she's telling the truth.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. I've always found advertising regularly on local facebook 'for sale groups', to be my best way of gaining new customers (along with giving existing customers extra order forms & asking if they know anyone who wants a book). Info about Facebook is on the first postAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Ladies - creative ordering question:
Do you check price of items already ordered by customer & rebuy/return if much cheaper in future catalogues within 90 days?
I always check the back order book & order the cheapest one, but have just realised there could be a whole other side to this. Am I just being a bit slow or is this a bit dishonest(only recently discovered the archive button on the catalogue search :rotfl:)
ThanksNow proud Mumto3 :j0
