Hi Luizarios!
....
Don't forget your Customers will be normal women too and unlikely to look like they have stepped out of a magazine, they would probably find that type of rep quite intimidating.
Good Luck with your weight loss x
Completely agree too - if you're prepared to put the time and effort in, anyone can do Avon. It can be hard work but it's worth it, and if you like the products its a great way to treat yourself for very little cost and a brilliant source of great gifts for family & friends.
Good luck with losing weight - I know that, for me, all the walking round my local streets carrying a bag of brochures has helped my figure
I've only been a rep for a couple of campaigns now, but I've made some money and got lots of great freebies due to the new rep incentive - if you sign up soon, you could also qualify, and you get a great pack of freebies for meeting very realistic targets.
Good luck if you do join up, and check this thread regularly - everyone on here has been so helpfulI enjoy money-saving and am slowly entering the world of online earnings - aiming to pay for Christmas 2015 from extra income earned in 2015.
So far: Bubblews £16.19 . Swagbucks £25, Neobux £1.29, Clixsense -.
Freebies/wins 2015: 2 x Convent Garden soup boosters, mini L'Oreal foundation, LG smartphone, mini Clinique face wash.0 -
Little miffed today ladies, popped to see a couple of other reps as i was getting some books from them, u use older ones to back order, they only run new campaigns.
Well i learnt more from one rep than i did from my sales leader. We were talking about returns. i commented saying i never have any she was saying she had loads, that she orders the demo's and then sends the empties back or part bottles and gets the money back credited to her?? Ive never had demo's explained to me so stood there open mouthed.
She also told me there was plastic delivery bags, the black ones, i only ever knew there was paper ones, i had seen plastic in HT but thought it was the brochure bags..
I also went to do a drop and found someone has been dropping books on my territory, its a hard area as it is, lot of money but not wanting to part and as i had done introductory slips i know who still wants them who doesnt who's every other one, and as my name is Sam and her name is Sue, im worried its looking too similar, xx2025 Wins ::

If another rep's dropped books in your territory you'll need to ring your ASM to find out what's going on. Have the other rep's name and phone number so they can get in contact with them.
The other rep could be:
- a rep with a few customers on your round, but they don't canvas it
- a rep who's been told to go where they like or has decided to go where they like despite knowing otherwise
- a rep who's been allocated your streets for a long time and because of a technical problem they've been freed up by accident.
- a rep who used to do the streets but they were de-allocated due to poor sales/not enough brochures ordered. The rep might or might not know about this.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Yes you can return demo things - but I wouldn't return empty ones as that's a bit cheeky and eventually they might well question it.
For the bags - I never use them, I buy cheap white plastic ones in bulk, they aren't as strong or look as good, but work out far cheaper as if you have to buy a few Avon ones it soon adds up.
IG has covered the rest I thinkAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
lozza - where do you get your bags from? I'm constantly having to buy carrier bags as my customers love to buy bubblebaths in bulk so I can end up double bagging them. I had one customer buy 10 of the 1 litre bottles and due to the weight I could only manage to put 3 in each bag (they'd bought other items too so spread those ones out), and even then they had to be double bagged as I do territory on foot and the handles weren't up to it  I have since started using a shopping trolley when people order bubble baths. I'm sick of white/numb fingersCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

To be honest it's been that long since we last ordered any I can't remember, we just googled till we found a company with reasonable p&p charges. They aren't very strong though - think the sort of bag you'd get if you buy things from a market - but as we've only got to get the orders from the car to people's door it does us. If any are particularly heavy I put their order in a large Avon paper bag, then put that inside the carrier bag.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Anyone else who has bulk buying of these, if you drive then best to use an avon box rather than bags. Just make sure you remove your name/address sticker from the side.
Heaven help you on foot, Nicki, 10L is a killer:eek:Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

10L and always the furthest 2 roads away so the furthest to travel  On more than one occasion one customer who does similar has been out when I've gotten there despite me putting a calling card through saying "I'll be calling on Thursday between 6-9pm" so I've had to carry them with me or go home again to dump them, to come out again and carry on with the rest of the deliveries.
My road likes small cheaper items, the furthest two roads (bigger, posher houses) like bigger, more expensive (one lady put an order in for £175  I triple checked that one, then got DD to triple check it as well :rotfl: ) and usually greater quantity stuff. I'm looking forward to this Christmas though as I wasn't covering this last road last Christmas
They alone usually supply half the cost of my orders, Can't wait to see if I can break my record of £553 for campaign 17 last year

I might just be viewing a cached version of the first page, but here's a couple more links if you need them:
C18: http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/459/
Sale C18: http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/465/
So it looks like we're going to have sale books in C17, C18 and C1 like last year. I didn't give them out because of stock issues that started in C15 in 2011, but I've noticed so far this year a good chunk of my sales are from the sale book and some customers have 90% of their orders being clearance. Can't afford not to put them out this year, but I have options if stock becomes a problem and last year showed it didn't avoid stock issues completely because I still had main brochure items not turning up in time. Or rather - they didn't turn up in time from Avon but I managed to get them on eBay!I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
