Hi
I've started as a Rep about 2 weeks ago, I've orders so far totalling over £150 and I've only done about 1/4 of my area, I insisted that I had the whole estate [about 400 houses] as it wouldn't be worth me doing a couple of roads as they are all small roads ;]]
Just wanted to ask - what/who is an upliner/upleader, I've met an Area Sales Manager.
I'm a stuff and run girlie who has a son who loves coming out with me to collect/deliver books lol, daughter who just wants to order everything in the books lol.
Anyway, enough rambling,

Welcome aboard Helen and well done re. your first order! :jSounds like you have a lot of support there - certainly given you a big area. I started off with 70 houses as territory - did still manage to achieve PC/Presidents Club in 10 campaigns though!
In your case, looks like your Area Manager is your Upliner. If you decide to go into Sales Leadership and grow your own team to increase your earnings, then you would be your team's Upliner.
Hope that makes sense.
Good luck with your own Avon business.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks MC, I thought it was the next line manager but decided to ask whilst introducing myself. I know my area is big but unfortunately there are alot of people on this estate who are very old/ill and won't place orders [I was a Rep here once before] so I've a good knowledge of the area which was why I insisted on the whole estate lol.
ASM signed me up in 15 mins as I knew what I was doing, she then had an 1.5hrs drive home, I did feel sorry for her as she was having to drive in the awful rain we were having at the time.
The website has changed dramatically since I last used it but its for the better and I really like the subtotal page as you can check in advance what you will be charged and then check that against your customer order.
Just put 20 more books out and I'll collect them on Sunday - don't leave them with customers for more than 2 days, they get enough time to place an order before they change their minds and I need the books back to pass onto others.
I've bookmarked this thread so I can go back and read from the start so that I can familiarise myself with Avon again

No wonder the ASM came out to sign you up herself! Don't feel bad for her; she gets paid by Avon and you sound like a very easy addition to her team.
Am down in the West Country and it's 'normal' for us here to have a 2hr+ round trip whenever we go out to do a sign-up now. Just needs a bit of planning e.g. do more than one sign-up and/or combine it with some training of other team members en route/nearby.
Good luck; sounds like you'll do very well. :TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

i know how easy it is to lose posts so thought it was worth a shot! We all could do with local help as well as on here - nothing worse than having a SL who doesn't give a dam - mine luckily wasn't and we go recruting together and are close friends now (sharing transport and a room at LYD too! I must be mad!) but i have trained a couple of SLs myself who were really rubbish and when they left I had the clean up of their reps. Nice to see how some of them appreciate me instead though! lolAvon Sales Leader in North Kent Since July 20110

Be careful, this could be seen as recruiting or basically using this forum as a vehicle for signing up reps. Sorry but it just doesn't sit right as self promotion is not acceptable.
Just my view. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Yes, you've got a point Mm. Whilst we're all here essentially to share hints and tips it can be easy to overstep the boundaries. Thanks for the reminder.
Incidentally, B.Owl, we're also not allowed to highlight the fact in our signatures that we're Avon Sales Leaders/Reps either so you may want to tweek that too? Up to you; Admin will realise at some point and delete your signature.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Oh my signature was just an outline of my goals and achievements... and the thread wasn't to recruit but for people who want to sign up to avon to request a sl to contact them - it doesn't say anything about asking SLs to put where they are.Avon Sales Leader in North Kent Since July 20110
