Hi everyone! I'm new here, and after a week of lurking and finding out lots of useful info from you all I decided I should join up so I could post! I'm a new Avon lady, on my second campaign, though I only had 3 days on my first campaign so although I got given all my free books I guess that didn't really count!
I am desperately trying to get my name out there, although I technically haven't been assigned a 'territory' so I'm worried about stepping on anyone's toes. I also only got given my free books for campaign 8 yesterday - to be honest I'm quite looking forward to not having to rely on the rep that signed me up for things as she seems a bit rubbish! I haven't managed to get any orders yet this campaignThat's really bad I know, though I'm going to get my books back on Wednesday so fingers crossed. I also think I've some coming from F&F! Phew. I need them!!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! Hopefully I can make a good go of this, and earn some pocket money!

Hi and welcome
I think the main thing you need sorting at the moment is to get yourself a set territory if you want somewhere to deliver to - yes at the moment you could find areas that are free, but then in a few months if someone gets allocated those areas they will deliver there as Noone would know that it is being covered. If the person you joined with isn't any help with this, send me a pm and I'll find out your area manager as they will be able to allocate streets for youAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Just to say I won't be on this weekend so hopefully some experienced reps/sl will help out if anyone gets stuck - been awfully quiet on here lately but probably due to half term/Easter.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Aw thanks, that would be a great help! I'll give her a call first, but I'm a bit worried about coming across as a nag as I literally had to ring/text her about ten times to get her to bring my books round for this campaign! I've heard from others she can be a bit of a nightmare, funny how she was quick to sign me up thoughhaha. I'm really determined to make a go of this though, so if I have to nag so be it :rotfl:

Your upline shouldn't have needed any nagging to bring your free books over - you're entitled to them.
If you PM Lozza she'll be able to find out who your ASM is. This is someone employed by Avon and they're the most useful person to be in contact with. They can allocate you streets.
It's great if you have a supportive upline Sales Leader, but once you've been shown how to input orders and your free brochures have been supplied, it's not the end of the world if they're difficult to get in touch with. My direct upline is an ASM and the only thing I've been in contact with them about is adding streets and confirming territory so even if I had a SL, I'd have to go to the ASM about that anyway.
Definitely pester about the following:
- getting your free 20 brochures for your first campaign, and 20 free for your second.
- your upline coming round to show you how to input orders. Write down any questions you have in the meantime (about returns or anything) and run through them all with your upline when you see them.
- getting streets allocated. We can only canvas in allocated postcodes so it's important to contact your ASM to get this sorted out.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Totally agree with what's already been posted - don't worry about being a 'nag', your upliner earns money on your nett sales so make her work for it. You are entitled to her full support, if you don't get it complain to your ASM. If you're happy to post up yoru postcode I (or any SL) can tell you who that is.

Does anyone know what shade of youth awakening lipstick the model on pg 149 in Brochure 7 is wearing? The bloomin' brochure doesnt say! I think its either berry bloom or plum berry? Might have to order both and let the customer decide which she likes best!

Good idea :T Chances are your customer will keep both!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi Guys, I'm late returning an item as I couldnt meet the courier. My invoice says the recharge date is 6th April, which is well before my next delivery date. If they recharge me can I just apply for another credit and send it back with my next delivery?
Ruth xx
You/r Upliner can either request a specific collection (depending on the value of your returns) or yes, just email Avon via the 'Contact Us' link on your website and they will guide you through it. Pretty sure you will need to wait for your non-returned Returns to be recharged to your account before you can re-apply for them to be credited (if that makes sense).Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

"To add to what's already been posted, you should have been given a leaflet about the SmartStart scheme, illustrating all the freebies you can get for your first six campaigns and when to expect them."
Hi - I'm sorry if I can't quote a previous posters message properly, but could anyone point me in the right direction. I'm an Avon Sales Leader (quite new) & can't find the latest smartstart info - I've checked the Avon website, but as usual, can't find the info easily. I have a new rep to appoint this evening, (Tues) so would like to give her relevant info. Could someone tell me where to find smart start info. Thanks.
The SmartStart info/leaflet is in your Appointment Pack, which you need to take with you when signing up a new rep to your team. If you're a Trainee SL then your upliner should be coming with you - TO TRAIN YOU - and supplying everything you need to hopefully get you qualified within 2-3 campaigns so you qualify for your BDB (Business Development Bonus).
NB: If you don't qualify for your initial BDB for qualifying, then you won't qualify for the additional BDB for maintaining your status.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

To all SLs: According to our messages today LYD is now fully booked. Who's going?
To everyone else - LYD is the Annual SL Conference where we all get to learn about what's coming up, meet all Avon's high achievers, be inspired by guest speakers, have a Gala Dinner/Disco, stay overnight in a good hotel - some SLs win a free place - and if the same as last year..... SOMEONE WILL WIN A CAR!!! :TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
