We gave winegums as hubbys surname is Maynard...took a few people a while to realis why we gave them until they actually looked at the packet.
Depending on your surname perhaps there's something similar you could do?Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

We thought it was funny, and as at the last few weddings we'd been too most people didn't take their favours even though they were lovely we couldn't see the point in spending a lot of them. We got clear boxes for them and tied ribbon in a bow around them so they looked nice even though they didn't cost us much
meant everything tied in as we used the same ribbon on the sweet jars, and there was ribbon on our invites & other stationary. And even the salt & pepper pots thanks to husbands OCD pmsl.
We did a sweet table as well with jars of sweets on (cash and carry lol) - freddos, chomps, haribo, refreshers & of course love hearts - everybody loved it, the adults more than the kids I think! - how about doing mini "mix and mix" boxes/bags for favours? Would be something a bit different but wouldn't cost much to do.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

To be on the safe side I tell my team members just to leave a post-it note with their name, a/c no. and signature on their door. As you say, easier for the driver and rep.
Of course, didn't mean what you said RE first orders wasn't true - just didn't want people thinking they always had to be in for their order, I know myself I'm hardly ever in (or even if we are, if husband has been on nights we put a sign on the door asking for it to be left in the shed because he's just finished a night shift, so that the delivery guy doesn't ring the doorbell!), the couriers are usually pretty good. I know some people have problems with theirs, but the ones round my way are really good (touch wood!), if they can leave the order somewhere secure they will. Mind you, you could say that's cos they're lazy and don't want to have to come out a second time :rotfl:Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Yes, they used to leave the orders anywhere rather than take them back but they have deffo tightened up now re. the first order. Guess it all comes down to your credit history with Avon. Can't blame them for tightening up but having said that our order status now does show 'with carrier' so makes me wonder if it's the carrier that's tightened up on their system rather than Avon. :cool:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Ring/email them and ask for some more; it's in their interests too for you to have enough books to get orders from.
I've always been told that all new reps should be given (a minimum of) 40 books i.e. 20 for their first campaign and the same for the second. Having said that if a new rep prefers to just do F&F then I'll happily split the 40 however they prefer and if I have extra back-books then I do manage to confuse them totally by giving them extra! :rotfl:On the other side of the coin, SLs can get caught out by giving books and then the new rep doesn't bother to place an order so that means they're out of pocket.
