Hello, I've been quiet as have been v busy with all the jobs and quite poorly. Trying to recover so that I can go in for a sinuses operation next week.
Just got a load of brochures from my new AM so pushed myself - took me 2 hours to arrange the brochures and nearly 2 hours to deliver them and it was very heavy lol but hopefully within a fewdays left before the op will have my all remaining territory covered. And I am trying my luck being a trainee SL, we'll see how it goes but made arrangement that will make any appointments that our AM can't make herself so that we help each other in this way. I really hope it will work but am a bit worried as I am so limited with time.
Managed to get already £135 for this campain so hopefully will not have problems to reach £148 - last campain I was 'short of' over £20 so had to order stuff for myself, which I will probably return.
Question about foundation shades ladies - one of the customers is Indian, quite dark skinned and she ordered Ivory foundation - clearly wrong for her, which samples do you think I should try to order for her to try? Many thanks
Hope you feel better soon x
Good luck with sl if you have any questions just askAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Ummm,,,, am tempted to join, however unsure as I did Virgin V a few years ago and got nowhere with it... I guess Avon is different in the fact that you mainly sell door-to-door where as VV was party plan... Nobody was interested in booking a party... maybe it was me?0

With Avon you won't pay anything unless you submit an order - so I always say join, see how you get on, if it's not for you just tell who you joined with and pass them any orders you did get, then the customers are happy. Unless you try you'll never know. I've never bought Vv stuff, but from what I've seen it's more expensive, and Avon is better known as a household brand as its been around for years.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Thanks Lozza and MC
My items were included in the original C3 invoice but missing from the box - I emailed with a query and also said 2 of the 3 items were my new customer's and she is not happy and suggested a freebie would be appropriate for her. But I did not expect 3 freebies - esp as they are nit particularly cheap - perfumes, clinical eye lift and multistylo.
It came with a note but no mentioning I have to pay for them. Hmmm, I might keep quiet till the next delivery next week and see if they would be on the next invoice.0 -
Btw I post on FB you know just a link to a current brochure, never had any customers this way but today got this question:
Do they do any anti-allergenic / sensitive skin stuff?
This is from a lady who is developing her own 100% natural cream for eczma. Shows my product knowledge is not great as I don't know - any suggestions?0 -

You could suggest Sensitive Botanicals in the Solutions skincare range for the face. As for eczema on the body, I usually suggest the Planet Spa Dead Sea Minerals range - occasionally I suffer from psoriasis and it works a treat for that. Also did have an enquiry from someone last year highly allergic to one of the ingredients in the SSS range and turned out there was very little she could use. She tried the PS Dead Sea Minerals Body Butter and was delighted with it. :TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Check under 'Order Tracking' and your consignment will be listed there along with any invoice if, in fact, one was raised. Sounds to me like they've just been sent on because you claimed immediate replacements for items charged but missing from box so no further invoice will be raised.
Hope it's Avon being generous - if so make the most of it! :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Go on..... Doooo it! You know you want to!! :rotfl:LOL
As Lozza says, you'll never know until you try and the way Avon gear everything it won't cost you a penny to see how you get on. Deffo not like Body Shop, VV, Ann Summers, etc. where you are compelled to buy a kit. Beats me why everyone's NOT an Avon rep!
OK, you won't get rich as a rep but means you have open access to all Avon products so you can experiment to your heart's content with discounted/free products and earn some cash into the bargain. Why in the current climate would anyone NOT want to do that?
One thing I would add is that whether you do door-to-door is up to you; certainly that can be a hard slog at this time of year. Some reps just keep a book on them and show it to their friends as/when they normally meet up - how easy is that? I have one lady on my team, who has two part-time jobs so takes her book to work with her and they have a look at break-time and then she takes it with her when she's out at night with her OH i.e. while he's playing darts/skittles, etc. she shows it to any other ladies in the pub....
Avon really is sooo adaptable; the knack is to make it fit in with your life, not the other way round.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thank you very much MM and MC for your advice. I think I will have to have a chat with mum and dad and see what they think. It is useful to know I can change the address on a campaign by campaign basis though! I will also have to check with work because there is something in my contract about asking before you get a 'second job'.
If all goes well I think I may well join you guys again! MC if I pm you I would be most grateful if you could give me an idea about what day my delivery might be.
Also I just wondered what you do about insurance, do you need any or is it all covered by the Avon guarantee(is if someone reacted to a product).
Also how would I stand with advertising? Could I put an advert intbe local newsletter to advertise in the whole few villages round us, or is thank frowned upon? Would I just do my allocated areas only? (can I advertise via Facebook?)
Sorry I have been out of the loop for a long while and things have changed a lot in the last few years!
Have replied to your PM; hope that helps. Agree with what others have already posted (look forward to your post re. FB, Lozza; deffo NOT my forte....) and as for advertising, yes, it's allowed. There are pre-approved adverts for reps to use on our websites (under Training and Development); if none of those is suitable then reps need to contact Avon with a proposed draft and have it approved. Doesn't take long for them to come back to you and generally they just give you a few pointers to make sure you come within their T&Cs.
Good luck!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well I have spoken to my parents but they are being awkward and won't have it delivered to their address, whihc leaves me with the problem of how to get my delivery. Do any of you get it delivered to a shed? Could I leave the back gate and shed unlocked then get the driver to put in the shed and put a padlock on after him?
What do you suggest if you are not in for delivery?Mortgage overpayments 2014 £175
