Can you go over the commission structure mentioned on the first page for me? Doh, I don't get it

I've been out this week trying to recruit in roads with no reps, but no luck and it was cold and wet so not much fun. I've lost two of my reps recently so I need to get back up to five again to start earning bonuses and am keen to grow my team. I've been trying to think of more time efficient ways of recruiting and wondered if anybody had ever tried putting leaflets/expired sale brochures underneath windscreen wipers in supermarket car parks? Is this even legal?
I don't have much free time as I'm trying to look for a full time job whilst working part time and doing Avon so looking for ideas that I can do alongside these. I'll take some time now to read back through the last few pages of this forum to see if there are any ideas I can pick up.
Thanks for reading x
Well done.
Instead of going door-to-door i.e. knocking on every single door (wasting time, waiting for people to answer.....) just walk down a street and approach anyone who looks a 'likely candidate' i.e. presentable, wearing (lots of
) make-up and fairly agile. :rotfl: If they like make-up, chances are their friends/relations will be the same so they will hopefully jump at the opportunity to click into discounted products just by showing a book round.
Put a big smile on your face, have a calling card ready and ask if they'd like to know how to click into free/discounted products from Avon. Tell them there's no need to go tramping the streets, it can be as easy as keeping a book on them and showing it to their friends. If they seem mildly interested, let them know that you'll provide them with everything they need to get started and they can start as an Avon rep without a penny piece in their pocket. That should nail them!
Good luck.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Is Avon really worth it?
"For every order you place over £78 to £148, you will receive a discount of 20%. For orders place over £148, you will earn 25% discount."
Commission is based on the amount of orders you get in a campaign (generally 3 weeks) - two levels - Lozza has quoted the exact levels but Avon simplify it by saying:
If your order is £200 you will earn £50
If your order is £100 you will earn £20
Personally, I think Avon's simplistic example is not exactly accurate but it does give you an idea.
As for whether it's worth it, you are limited only by your own effort..... I tell my newbies that they'll never get rich by being a rep but it will definitely help the household budget and earn you a bit of a cash. Alternatively, you can turn it into a career but don't expect it to happen overnight or without a lot of hard work.
The ultimate American Dream I guess - the £££s are there to be earned e.g. we have our first Avon millionaires - the top earning couple last year earned £1.25 million between them (not to mention brand new BMWs each, free holidays, etc., etc., etc.)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks MarsdenCuckoo! - Another q. can I only sell to the street I am allocated? - I mean can I sell to work, friends, family, gym members, DH work, hairdressers etc. What if the street allocated is not my street, can I sell to my street too?0

Morning!
I've been a little lax over the last 2 months with Avon and barely been making it work for me so this campaign, got my finger out and got my books organised and done the first pick up last night. Got £75 of orders and will put the books back out tonight.
Need to keep focused, I put the money away that I earn from Avon to pay for a couple of long weekends a year with a friend.
The brochures won't earn me anything sitting in the corner!!!!

You can sell to anyone you know, no matter where they live.
If you're canvassing - i.e. standing on the doorstep of a stranger about to post a brochure or leaflet or knock on the door - that street needs to be allocated to you.
When you sign up you'll be asking whether you want to cover territory (have some allocated streets) and your upline will give you a list of what's available. It'll probably be a small amount to start with (100 houses is the norm) and then once you're happy doing that you can ask for more. Some uplines will give out extra streets quickly (I got some in my 2nd campaign) while others would like you to stick it out for a bit longer first so they can be sure they're giving the streets to the right person.
If your street is already covered you could still approach the neighbours you know. They may want to switch to you to help you out, but they may be loyal to their current rep. If you've lived at your house for at least a year and have never seen a brochure - but you're told it's allocated - it would be worth asking whether the ASM can speak to the other rep and find out whether they're still happy to do the street. Avon expects us to re-canvas and if a rep isn't doing that it makes sense to transfer it to someone who will. Worth asking, anyway.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I contacted my sl last week as having been ill I didnt get my brochures out till late, when I collected them I had less than 1 third back (apparently EVERYONE had binned them) and no-one had made a single order on the others. I am so lucky, my sl turned up the next morning with 10 brochures and when I collected them last night I found £40 of orders, they are back out so hopefully will meet minimum this month. Just so lucky to have someone so supportive0
