    Input to help new reps...

    ok so far we have:

    * giving out handouts with useful info on
    * extra books & bags & useful notes to use with them
    * calling cards
    * contact from upline - email / quick text to keep in touch.
    * emails with ideas to help with sales & to make people feel part of a team
    * make sure reps know it's no bother to help them, even with minor queries, that's what we're there for!

mixed views on "league tables" - I know my asm does them for our area, she does a top 50 for that campaign, a top 50 year to date on sales, and also does a welcome to all new reps that have joined that campaign. I have to say, I never feature in the top 50 lol, but my hubby does (as he gets most of our sales on his account!) and it's interesting to see, but yes it's usually the same few in the top 10 slots. I started doing them for my team last year as I thought it would be interesting for my team to see how they do compared to a smaller group of people, though I haven't since about campaign 1 as with the short campaigns so many people didn't order / placed small orders it seemed silly to do a league table. That and I didn't have time. I didn't put full names, nor how much anyone had sold, just a top 10. Though admittedly my team is only 10 members now inc my husband lol so everyone is guaranteed a spot at the moment :D

    Any other ideas/input?

I know when I first started my main gripes were getting in touch with my asm and then never hearing anything back even when it was important things. I certainly make sure my team can contact me and I sort things as soon as possible as I know how irritating it is waiting round for a reply :rotfl:

Hello! Nice to see the regulars are still in residence :rotfl: and welcome to the new posters :) I haven't been around much as we decided at New Yr to finally pull our fingers out and set a date to tie the knot, having been engaged a few years :o
So, we're getting married next month!! It's been eventful so far, but getting there now. Haven't had so much time to post though :rotfl:
Hopefully avon will contribute to paying for some of it. If I get a chance over the weekend I will sort out the 'things I wish I'd known' and my current advice for new reps. Hopefully useful to someone. Could be a good idea to circulate amongst ourselves, as we could compile a really good guide between us :A

**and yes, we are far superior to Connects!!!!**
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

Don't forget to check your C4 orders - customers can choose a free sample when they order from pages 64-69 but it's something they might easily miss. Plus - as it says one sample per customer, if you get one customer ordering a few items from those pages you could claim the extra samples yourself to get yourself some samples for free :)

  • I haven't had time to post on here for a while but I came on tonight to ask a question about trying to recruit new reps and it seems to be a topic you're all discussing, so good timing!

I've been out this week trying to recruit in roads with no reps, but no luck and it was cold and wet so not much fun. I've lost two of my reps recently so I need to get back up to five again to start earning bonuses and am keen to grow my team. I've been trying to think of more time efficient ways of recruiting and wondered if anybody had ever tried putting leaflets/expired sale brochures underneath windscreen wipers in supermarket car parks? Is this even legal?

I don't have much free time as I'm trying to look for a full time job whilst working part time and doing Avon so looking for ideas that I can do alongside these. I'll take some time now to read back through the last few pages of this forum to see if there are any ideas I can pick up.

    Thanks for reading x

Big no no putting leaflets under windscreens. Main thing is numbers - more leaflets you can get delivered the more leads you will get. It can be that you won't get any interest for a while then a few altogether, so stick with it. :) I work full time to, I rope the hubby into delivering expired brochures while I'm at work lol, and I spend a few minutes everyday on Facebook to advertise. It's free so worth continuing with, I've got a few reps that way as well as customers for myself and my reps. Perhaps deliver a few leaflets everyday on your way too/from work, doing it in little batches won't take much time each day but would add up over the week.
