I did an additional order last week to ensure I got some packs of Christmas decs for a good customer and added some of my C1 orders where I thought stock may be low. Arrived today but 1 set of decs broken! My C1 goes in on tuesday - praying that they will send my replacements with it.
Can't believe the huge lists of OOS from avon this year - poor show, customers don't forget. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Do any of you ladies know when (or if) the new fragrance "Step Into Sexy" will be released in the UK? Its out in US and gets really good reviews, and as I have a perfume addiction I'd love to try it.0

My order should have arrived on Friday - got a call that the van had broken down and would come on Saturday... Saturday came and went and no delivery again! This morning we get up at 9am and the boxes are at the door soaking wet as they were left in the rain! But nobody knocked or rang the bell and so I am left with my returns box until they send somebody back to get them! Argh!
Need to get my book 1 out with my deliveries tomorrow as I havent really put any out nor do I want to recanvas another st with them when its so cold(yes I am wuss lol). So glad the HOV is reduced though yeay!0 -

Oh dear, that's not sounding good. Good luck getting that sorted.
Sorry to disappoint you - it's not HOV that's reduced C1-4 but MOV (from £78 to £52) - HOV remains @ £148Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

What's the Groupon problem you allude to? Sorry, not seen anything about it on the TV. I've just ordered my first item via Groupon - am I likely to be regretting it?
As a customer you have little to be concerned about.
If for any reason your deal can't be fulfilled then the Groupon have proved to be pretty good at refunding, but most of mine have been fulfilled without issue.
The problem comes with the volume, so for example here's an example of a cake company (usually 100 orders per month) receiving 8500 orders
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-15791507
The businesses themselves are to blame as well as Groupon IMO, but I've certainly seen Groupon offers where twice as many have been sold as the availability advertised.
For example I signed up for a gym deal for 8 powerplate session. The gym had 4 machines and a certain number of sessions. I worked out that they sold TWICE as many vouchers as they had sessions and that would be at 100% utilisation.
I've not had a problem, but I always make sure I book mine fairly quickly.
I don't think you have anything to worry about.
I may have not fully understood the context in which the lady from Avon was speaking.
I agree once something is agreed it should be a commitment, but taking on a large commitment without thinking it through would clearly be crazy (but doesn't mean it doesn't happen to people that call themselves "business" people.0 -

Thanks for the info; seems unbusinesslike to me for any company to make an open-ended loss-leading offer.... Is that a pre-requisite of being a company promoted by Groupon?
Glad I'm on the other end... Still to complete my first transaction with Groupon (the system does seem a little strange but presumably everything is automated to minimise costs).
As for the Motivational Speaker, she wasn't 'from Avon' (but I guess she could've started off that way :rotfl:). Maybe I'm just not conveying her message effectively.... Once you agree to do something then you pull out all the stops to make sure it happens. On the other hand if you delay to 'think about it', chances are you may talk yourself out of the opportunity. Alternatively, maybe it's just that successful entrepreneurs are adept at thinking on their feet?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

No mention of it on the website so far; the new ones coming up that we know of are Intimate Moment and O2 so that'll take us through to Spring I guess.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Pleeeeeaaaassseeeee can someone help?:huh::huh::huh:
My C18 order was due on Thursday but my SL told me I could have until today seeing as it was very last minute.
Anyway, I wanted to get everything delivered to my work but I wrongly assumed it would give me delivery options once I had submitted it. I've gone in and added my work as a delivery address but it is still showing as being delivered to my home address.
My SL is not getting back to me (she has previously told me she turns her phone off at a weekend) and the Avon helpline are closed - IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN CHANGE THE DELIVERY ADDRESS?!:huh::huh:
Help please!! Not sure waiting in for my Avon order is a good enough reason to take a sick day lol!
On the bright side, I've hit HOV on my first campaign yay!!

Thank you for all your advice ladies. I couldnt get through to my SL at all over the weekend, and come Monday afternoon she still hadn't returned my calls or text me. So I text her simply asking for the carriers number (as she'd not previously given me it) and she text straight back. Shes really lovely, but I am beginning to think she might be a bit useless. I think she just covers such a big area and deals with so many people that she doesnt really have much time for me.
Anyway, carrier said theyd not received my order from Avon yet, even though it is due to be delivered on Thursday! According to SL this is normal, but just wanted to double check it with you knowledgable ladies? When should I expect them to have received my order?
I love this forum, its like a one stop shop for all my Avon queries - thanks so much everyone!

Yeah don't worry, they don't get the orders much before they deliver them as far as I know, as its such a lot of stock for the carriers to hang onto, they will want it at their depot for the minimum amount of time necessary so don't worry, I should say they might not get it until Wednesday.
FOr your sl - she said she doesn't work weekends (which a lot don't, understandably so, I do - but then as I work full time shifts, I'd never get anything done if I only let people contact me monday-friday) - but she got back to you Monday afternoon which I think is pretty good. She might have had an appointment monday morning (kids etc), so then got round to emails/messages as soon as she could. Thats the good thing about avon - we can fit it around our lives, and sometimes that gets in the way, but she still got back in touch on the first working day she had since you contacted her xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
