Play said they aren't doing partial refunds so I guess the people who bought them hoping for a refund will be out of luck!

just spoke to Argos and they are saying that no decision has been made on dropping the price and nothing has been decided about what will happen on the partial refund front if people buy it now at full price and it gets reduced in the next day or so !

I cant decide wether to order the 32gb one for home delivery and hope they do refund the difference or just leave it and see if stock starts to filter through when the sites catch up with the previous manic orders !!

    How do you know that?

I have both the 16 and 32 GB sitting in my basket and keep refreshing on the hope it comes down but to no avail (also shows as both instock at the moment for me) Not sure whether therefore just to give up with play?

Well unless you reserved it by going into the store (i.e. you reserved via phone or online) the Distance Selling Rules would apply there too so you could just ask for your moeny back without ever accepting the goods in the first place...........unless of course you are happy to pay the full price.

I think that you are paying so buying in shop and you will find that you can buy or not, but if you do buy you will not be able to return it for a refund unless it is faulty.
  • I have been passing emails back and forth to Comet with the eventual outcome that they do not give a damn. Anyone else had any luck getting their money back from Comet?

How about trying in your local store?

how interesting, my play.com order from about an hour ago when i decided to buy is now saying awaiting stock (for 32gb) whereas before it said it was in stock. Perhaps my own fault, I've bought the 32gb and the 16gb (1 of each) three times this morning, cancelling after an hour so that I've less chance of it shipping before any price reductions.

    hmmmmmmmmmm

If you keep refreshing it add another product to the basic...I'm wondering if you've got all the stock of 32gb's in your basket!!

Stuff UK now says "Price Drop Due Wednesday", but no time or specific price and they've only got 10 in stock!
