and they are out of stock for delivery and collection - so they have sold out at thier central depot and all the stores have thier stock reserved......if you aint got one reserved or in the post, then you aint getting one!

Yep... at least not from Argos. There are reportedly more of these coming and I read a report (can't post link as I am a new member, but google HP touchpad stock) so all is not lost.

I'm still waiting for confirmation from an order I placed with Amazon and I have checked the HP site and they say currently out of stock, as do Carphone. Currently implies to me that they may get more... HP have said an update will be made on Wednesday 24th... today.

Thank goodness Argos have finally dropped their prices! Ive been trying to get one since the weekend in the states via my poor parents (lol) and myself in the UK since Monday. Good luck to all of you and I hope you all get a touchpad :)
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs
  • Just to make all of you who brought before the price drop Argos has now put the "†" (excluded from 30 day guarantee) next to the titles.

Dosn't matter what they put, distance selling rules still apply - just make sure you go back for your refund within 7 days of recieving your delivery....

    Distance Selling Regulations

If you have ordered by telephone, internet, or TV, under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have a statutory right to cancel your order and receive a full refund for any home delivery item (excluding those ordered in-store). This does not apply to items personalised or made to your specification; audio/video recordings or software that you have unsealed; items that due to their nature cannot be returned; perishable goods (e.g. food, flowers and periodicals/magazines).

To cancel, you can Email Customer services, call 0845 640 2020 or write to us at Customer Services (see contact us for details) within seven working days (so not including Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays) commencing the day after the day of delivery of your item(s), quoting your order number. You must take reasonable care of the item(s).

Item(s) may be returned to an Argos store or we can arrange collection free of charge (unless otherwise stated on the delivery note).
