I'd be dragging the man in question back by his ears to do the job himself :eek:

Fortunately (in some ways) I live in a modern ish house and the plumbing can cope with man packages :o

Doesnt work if said male has gone home!

  • I can smell blood even from a cut finger though, it's smells.. iron-y if that makes sense, isn't that normal then? Funnier still, I'm a first-aider... teehee!

I can smell blood very clearly - it smells metallic. And period discharge smells stronger, and is very noticeable (to me).

yes, i plead guilty to this. is it really so bad, whats the difference between that and a big turd?

All I can say is SHAME ON YOU !

Believe me ITS BAD ! the smell is horrendous for starters, poo smells I can handle but tampons etc are vile !

The nitty gritty end it, well we all know poo is soft...ish ? toilet paper is designed to break up and disintegrate when its flushed down the loo.
Cotton wool does not disintegrate it just gets mangled up even more making a hard lump, same goes for wipes, they just dont disintegrate when flushed. These products get snagged on the slightest lump or imperfection of the drainage system thus causing blockages.

Have you ever heard of macerators ? these things range from small units you have in houses to huge industrial ones, tampons, towels and wipes wreck these machines in days ! basicallt these machines are designed to chop up poo where there isnt a direct link to a sewer, once chopped up the end product of poo soup is pumped out through a small pipe and away into the main sewer. The problem here is these machines get completely bunged up by these products because they cant mash them up, the fibres get wrapped around the motor and the chopping blades and eventually they fail. A domestic macerator costs approx £360 an industrial one £3000+.

Last Christmas I had to change 5 units all because they had been wrecked by these products.

How would you like to put your hands into this ?

This is a Macerator....it lasted two days !

It really does get my goat that women cant read the packaging on sanitary products and wipes, many if not all clearly say DO NOT FLUSH DOWN THE TOILET.

makes you wonder about the historical 'night soilman' of old times, they used to travel the capital (and probably other cities) collecting the waste which they would then sell

they also found it beneficial to fish through it all as all sorts of things fall down the loo

i know my sewerage history you know

I'm sure all of us have done it inadvertently at one time or another but that's very different to making a habit of it.
