to be honest, i have never known and dont now, know anyone who puts them in bins. i never have.

surely i cannot be the only one?

    should i change my ways?

I've never put a tampon or anything similar down the loo - I always bin them, at home as well as in public loos.

and reading the instructions leaflet (i didnt go hunting for one - i happened to buy a pack today!) it actually says on it to flush!

    It actually says:

"easy to open flushable wrapper" on the box and "The tampon may be flushed down the toilet if there is no litter bin" which suggests to me they want you to bin it not flush it.

PMSL... maybe we should all just get mooncups.. I am happy to put them ALL in my dishwasher.. lol...

I think a tampon is more likely to break down than a man turd.. have you SEEN how long they can survive!?!?! I half expect them to bite my bum when I sit!

So.. I am the bestest behaved then now... I do nice little rabbit dropping style poops and I dont use pads or tampons.. go me! lol

Puddy.. just flush them.. you will be keeping MB in a job.. we dont want him unemployed now do we?! Imagine having that on your conscience!

  • I flush tampons and (touch wood) have not had a blockage at the home where tampons had been stuck down there for about 40 years. The leaflet says flushable. It's not just you puddy.

I remember those incinerators, my old primary school used to have them but we always just put paper in it for fun.

but where theres no macerator and i rip up any pads that should be ok?

tampons are tiny little things though?

Seriously flushing pads! Never heard of anyone doing that - it is pretty obvious it shouldn't be done. Similar to some people who try and flush nappies! As if!

A relative of mine works for united utilities and has the job of sorting problems out - he says the tampon strings all just get wrapped around cogs/wheels at th stations he maintains causing them to stop turning, pads just clog everything up and condoms explode at him!

Nothing to be proud of. If this is the usual state of affairs you probably have a poor fibre intake which has health risks. What you describe as a 'man turd' is what you should be aiming for.

I do flush tampons, never pads or liners though. Trying to explain to DD why Tampax Pearl plastic applicators shouldn't be flushed was fun though!

Given Im 7 months pregnant & it is quite normal in pregnancy to have issues, no I shouldnt be aiming for anything other than what I have thank you :)

and something unflushable is NOT normal!!! EVER!!
