Sanitary towels for teens

I know this comes up as a topic fairly often so I thought I would post that I have just seen Lilets teen towels in Boots. They are smaller to be more comfortable for younger girls and they had them in Normal and Light. I didn't notice the price, but probably would have had they been notably overpriced. Hope this is useful for someone.

They wouldn't have been any good for me as a teen - did they have a 'lift scene from the shining' variety?! I wonder why they seem to assume teens would have light periods? I know I'll have to have a chat with DD1 about this soon as I suspect she might be the same as I was and I'm dreading it.
Mine have always been heavy, to the point where I get anemic and have to take iron a lot :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Im with you on that one! It does seem kind of odd theyd suggest that for a teen.
I guess could be suitable for those poor girls who get their periods very early at like 9 or 10?0 -
Apparently they are aimed at girls aged 9-14 (thanks to a quick google!) and the rrp is £1.59. I have no idea if that is average or not as I a mooncupper!0

They are useless too.. sorry..
They are only any use for the days a pantyliner woud suffice.. The best my girls found was the boots own brand.. they are very happy with those.
I was another who went straight into a 31 day cycle with nomal periods of 9-11 days at almost 11. just the regular ones with wings.. they are in a green packet 99p for about 14.
I got mine a few different brands so they could choose which they liked best.. they both hated Always, Bodyform they use if they run out of Boots ones but they prefer the Boots by far..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
My eldest daughter uses the asda teen ones, they are tiny but as she's a size 6 they suit her body shape, they do cope with a heavy flow too. 96p a pack last time I brought them."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

My 13 year old has a heavy flow, she used pads for her first couple of periods before sacking the idea totally and going for tampons.
Certainly for her she leads quite an active life now and towels just dont suit that for her.0 -
mine are both on Boots or Always - whichever is the cheaper/on offer.
and both girls know the meaning of the word heavy, sadly...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
only £1.59 and then £ infinite for the ruined bed sheets and mattresses because they dont work
