    wednesday.
    pay day blues today.
i know pay day should be the best day of the month but i always feel down when i open my pay slip and see how little money i've earnt.i thought that just for one day,or even just a couple of hours i would be in the black at the bank.but no.a couple of things came out of my account over night and i am starting the month -£127.i really want to try and end the month being below -£1000 but i've worked out that i will not manage it for september and that really made me feel down this morning.
BUT i then read the story of a new DFW this morning and reolised that lots of people are much worse of than me so i should stop moaning and just get on with things.so i've made myself look at afew good things.-
i know that i stress about my overdraft when i should be happy that my debts are coming down.my overdraft is way below it's limit so at least i am not going to pay any of the charges that were crippling me before.i still have some money coming in from some agency work i have done.[should get that friday].i have spent less this month than i have probably done in a month for the last 20 years.i can feel that i have a different mind set.it's true what they say that if you can change a habit for i month then you can change it for ever.i'm going to enjoy a nsd now.back later.

    wednesday 31st.
i'm over my pay day blues now and have had a good day.i think i just have to remember that this will take time
i managed to get out in the garden and cut the grass but my mower suddenly stopped working.straight away i'm thinking oh no,i don't want to have to go out and spend money on a lawn mower.luckly though my neighbour had a look at it and it's got a loose wire which he said he will fix for me tomorrow.so thankyou lawnmower fairy.then when i checked my emails i had an email from paypal saying that someone was trying to change the email address on my paypal account.i panicked,i had visions of someone trying to steal my £42.51.so i phoned them and it turns out to be a scam.luckly i didn't send any details.so watch out for that one.september tomorrow, where has the year gone.here's to a great new month.

well, pinch and a punch and all that.off work today.had to go and get the food shopping to take away on holiday.normaly i would buy all sorts of stuff which just gets thrown away so this time i've only got things i know we will use.i have also got things for making packed lunches so as not to waste money on rubbish.this holiday will be a real test for me.i'm going with a friend and i've decided that we will have a kitty to pay for petrol, food, days out etc.that way the only thing i will have to spend the money in my purse on are treats.usually when i'm away i bring lots of things back with me but i know now that i will have to really like something loads before i'll be tempted to part from my hard earnt cash.
today i have also joined the thread to complete 101 tasks in 1000 days.i think this is a great thread and i've really enjoyed trying to think of the things i'd like to do.
of to bed now,up early in the morning for my last day at work.

Hope you have a lovely holiday xx
  • sunday 11th.
hi there,i got back from my holiday yesterday.had a lovly time but no matter how much you look forward to them it's always nice to get home from them to.i spent alot more money than i should have.we ate out to much and i just love craft shops and little garden centres.i was a bit down about it yesterday when i got back and saw how much my overdraft was up to already and it's still so early in the month.it felt like i'd gone right back to the start again.i was disapointed with myself.i also sat down to check out my surveys last night and out of 15 new ones i only ended up doing 3.i have problems opening the global test market ones quite often and valued opinions don't seem to value my opinion about that much.
today is a new day though so am feeling a bit more positive.am going back to check out my challenges.yesterday was my first no spend day this month and i plan to have another one today.i'm also going back to fill in some more of my 101 things to do in 1001 days.i'm planning to do some some cooking today.rhubarb muffins and spinach soup as i have all the ingrediants here to make them.lastly,i've been through all my cds and sorted the ones i don't want to keep so i'm going to see what i can get for them.so a busy day planned.i'll report back later to see how much i managed to get done.have a good day everyone.

  • Yes, plenty of "stuff" going on but doesn't mean I forget about everyone else on here. I love reading other peoples diaries and it's a really good distraction for me at the moment xx

well have had quite a productive day.i made my soup.it was spinach and swede in the end as not enough spinach left in the garden.was still pretty good though.have frozen that for a day when i've nothing in for eating.also made rhubarb muffins to save me buying sweets cakes and biscuits which i always used to spend a fortune on.i found some packets of jelly mix in the cupboard.ok they were two years out of date but i had it three hours ago and am feeling fine.if you don't hear from my tomorrow you know why.
also went onto music magpie and listed some of my cds.i sorted through and only kept the ones i really want.i got £40 for them which i was very happy with.if i'm really honest i could probably get rid of all of them but i have to part with some at a time.i've made a good start though.
back to work tomorrow and should have been asleep ages ago.
    have a good monday everyone.
