    thursday 25th.
getting closer to pay day thank goodness.i've managed not to spend any money today.took food to work for when i got peckish.have worked a double shift again today.the idea is to get a bit of spending money for my holiday but i think i may need a new tyre for my car.so as it did last week the extra money i managed to make has come in one hand and gone straight out the other.my sister says she has a theory that the less money you have the more things you seem to have to spend money on.i'm not sure if thats true or it's just that you notice it more when you don't have any money.anyway,i think i'm rambling now so i'm of to bed.night everyone, have a good day tomorrow.

    friday 26th.
wow what a wet dull day that was.was at work all day and never really felt warm.was tempted to put the heating on this evening but have been cuddling my hot water bottle instead.my life is so rock and roll.its my weekend of my day job.i was hoping to get some agency work but don't have anything yet.spent £2.80 today on food at work.can kick myself now.it was my own falt for getting up late and not getting organised.
have sold some items on ebay today.i've packed them up ready to send later.in one way it makes me sad to see my lovely clothes selling for so little.but then i have to remember that i havn't worn them for ages.i can't decide wether to put the money towards my holiday or pay a bit more of my barclaycard.anyone would think i had come into thousands instead of £25 on ebay.i also had to put a new tyre on my car today.that was £40.and i have to tax my car.i have £50 saved towards that.so overall at the end of the week, with my extra over time i havn't moved forward any but i havn't moved backwards either, which is a pretty good result in my book.night all.

    saturday 27th.
very mixed day today.i went into town and posted my ebay parcels.made £35 on my latest sales,so was pleased with that.my aim this month was to be overdrawn by less than £1000 at the end of the month.when i checked my online balance i've already gone over this and there is still another week to go.i also have the £40 for my tyre to come off it.it's a whopping £124 of bank charges thats done it.these were from last month.i am determined to never have to pay these charges again.
i'm feeling a bit more positive now.i do have two lots of wages to go in next week so it's possible that i may still do it be the skin of my teeth.
i managed not to buy anything today.i have £10.39 in my purse and i want to try to make this last till next friday.have spent a really nice day dodging the showers to do my garden.my dog isn't to well at the moment so we enjoyed a cuddle on the sofa and hes now lying at the bottom of my bed.once again i am up past midnight checking out some of the really interesting stuff on here.have a lovely sunday all.night.

The Hovel dog nips in to say "Hello woof" to yours.

Boo to bank charges, I don't understand how they can get away with what they charge sometimes.
Have a lovely Sunday too - do you have plans?

    sunday 28th.
what a strange day.at one stage the sun was glorious and yet it was pouring at the same time.we shouldn't complain though when you see what's happening to those poor people in america.
had a nice chilled out morning, didn't go anywhere so havn't spent any money.then, the agency phoned with a shift for this afternoon and evening which i've just finished.agency work on a sunday is brilliant.bring it on.i now have three shifts that i'll get paid for on friday, just before i go on holiday.am off to bed now to read my book which i've been neglecting lately.enjoy your bank holiday everyone.night.

    monday 29th.
this morning it was soo cold.getting out of bed to go to work early was so hard.only worked till lunchtime though then went round to a friends who cooked me lunch which was nice.
managed to not spend any of the cash in my purse again today, thats three days on the trot now.will have to get some bits of shopping tomorrow though.i find i'm in the mind set now where i really don't want to spend anything.before i spend money on things that arn't everyday essentials i firstly have to work out where the money will come from ie,overdraft money, cash in my purse or money in paypal from ebay sales.[my ebay fund is up to £40 at the moment but i don't want to fritter it away i want to use it wisely.i want to get my hair cut this week which will cost £17.thats my luxury for august.
i also had to put more petrol in the car today.maybe it's because i'm not putting as much in at a time but i am amazed how much money i'm spending.it's only because i am keeping the spending diary that i know this.i'm up to £155 so far this month.i can claim back 25p per mile because it's all for work.but i am also doing something i never did before and thats shopping around for the cheapest prices.thats all i have for today.night all.

    tuesday 30th.
not working today.had to walk into town to collect prescription[luckily don't pay for them].then had to get afew bits of shopping.just needed milk and eggs.thought i'd compare the prices in asda and lidl.asda were cheaper which i was surprised at.didn't buy any cakes or biscuits but baked some fairy cakes this afternoon as i had all the ingridients in the house.had home made spinach soup out of the freezer for lunch.the next thing i want to try making is bread.
had to take the dog to get his nails clipped today.time was when i would get my nails done before going on holiday, now i have to do my own and pay someone to do his.i do have clippers but i can't get near him he hates it.as it was he had me and the lady in the shop chasing him around the place.she really earnt her £5 from us.
also took lots of cuttings from my lavender and pinks so hopefully i'll have lots of free plants next year.
