Hi everyone - have enjoyed reading through this thread, but probably have spent rather too long doing so! Felt quite pleased earlier, as I got infrom church and was quite busy: some handwashing, WM & TD, changed sheets, made huge batch of soup (that's all the lurking veg, gone!), BM on, luch cooked.....but then I sat down! I do have lots left to do, but I'm feeling rebellious...need a good kick, I guess!Resolution:

Hey all!!!
Thanks to all those who welcomed us newbies!
My parents left for Prague for a week this morning, and as my IBS was playing up I didn't go to church. So I did some stuff about the house
So far today I've:
Made a large batch of pizza dough for tomorrow's tea
Made 4 sealed jars of tomato and basil pizza / pasta sauce
Baked a 5 cup loaf cake for my brother's bait all week
Make the batter for the Toad in the Hole tonight
Was starting to worry about the whereabouts of said younger brother, who's mobile is switched off. Tracked him down through relatives of his mates, and guess what? He's already had his tea. Didn't think to phone to let me know...
So plans for tea postponed til tomorrow. And the pizza dough will have to be rolled out and frozen as I'm away on business on Wednesday...
Who'd be the responsible adult, really? It far too much hassle...
Hope you've all had excellent Sundays
Ausielass - I adore your kitchen!
Pooky - Happy Anniversary! :bdaycake:
Loads of love

Hello all :hello:
I haven't read the threads properly for the last few days, hope you're all OK.
I've made a bit of progress. Everyone has been coming home from work and school at different times so meal planning went wrong in June last year  I sat down today and worked out a new plan, if they don't like it then they go hungry.
I'm going into work no more than 3 times per week, for an hour at a time. All other work is going to be done from home. If they don't like it, they'll have to sack me.
A friend is coming round tomorrow, he'll give me advice on software for a website then I'll get that up and running (I've just checked to see if the site name I want is available and it is :T ). My biz WILL make me a decent living by the end of the year. I'm expanding too, I'll be making gift bags and gift boxes - I've found a great supplier for materials and can sell them much cheaper than anyone else and still make a decent profit.
So to everyone (in real life - NOT ON HERE just want to make that clear) that make all the right noises but don't really believe I can do it as a full time biz - UP YOURS :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
will try to get into a habit of reading and talking on this thread this year - but fear as always I will dip in and out - sorry
Today didn't go according to plan (what plan....) anyhoos had to take the cat to the vet as we think he's been bitten! Poor tike he's happy back at home now in his basket with meds and lots of cuddles.
Need to organise myself this week and Aussielass's kitchen has given me the additional boost I need to complete mine - so thank you heaps it looks gorgeous!
Off to look for a splash back panel for the cooker now.....
Happy Sunday to everyone

We're all behind you!!! Good luck with it
Had a really quiet day, DH has now come down with this flu virus thing too - he's not going to work tomorrow and for him, that's unheard of.
Before we both felt to grotty we managed to strip all the beds and get a bolognaise sauce in the SC - DD's have been troopers and provided hot drinks and tissues all day and washed up and even run themselves a bath.... without being asked. Beds have all been remade (although it took extreme amounts of effort on our part to do so) and the house is as tidy as it's going to get.
Just sitting her having a surf whilst DD's get ready for bed and enjoying a rum and coke (purely medicinal of course)
Not the best of anniversarys but hey - there's always next year "Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Belated Happy Anniversary Pooky! Sorry you've not felt well. (((hugs)))
Aussie, that is one fantastic kitchen! You must be so proud of yourself and DH:D If all else fails, you could start your own kitchen fitting business when you get here:rotfl: :rotfl: Or have you had enough to last a lifetime?:D
Well I came back on to report that all food has been cooked, portioned, and is being frozen down as we speak!:D I feel absolutely bushed, but very pleased. So glad I forced myself to do it. Tomorrow the house! (well maybe).
I am now having a well-deserved break with a cup of coffee, before i attempt an assault on Mount ironmore!!! Lots of it will only be making the briefest acquaintance with the iron! Just a quick hello and goodbye:o
Well off for a quick surf then I'll get started. Honestly. Well probably.

Evening Guys!
Pooky-Happy Anniversary
Had a great afternoon at OH's cousins house. He has a lovely wife and 2 small kids. We went out for a meal in Canterbury and I had Rare Beef with yorkshire pudding and full works:o DD had a kids roast (wasnt much smaller than mine!) and OH had something posh with a chicken breast...it wasnt cheap but was lovely:D Had some cashback on my CC last month so didnt really cost anything;)
Got home about 7pm and stuck the WM on, so that will be put on the airer when we go up to bed. DW has been emptied and everywhere cleared through. Have hospital appointment at Kings College/London early in the morning so want it ship shape before we go as I never know if there gonna keep me in:eek:    Fingers x'd that I dont get pricked with a needle tomorrow....have i told you that I HATE needles:D
DD has had a shower/hairwash and all uniform ready for tomorrow. She asked me to shave under her arms this morning-1st time...and I could have done a plait:rotfl: ....I know shes only 12 but she is doing drama/dancing etc and she usually is in strap tops and she hates putting her arms up in front of people.
Anyway, Im gonna go and have a cuppa then off to bed as Im cream crackered!
Hugs to all.

Goodmorning everyone
well it is to me.
DH has just raced off to the house to get up their early in case the plumber turns up. :rotfl:Yeah right. Said plumber has been *coming* every day since before Xmas. We now call him daily. I am down here a bit longer to do chores and make a few phone calls. Somehow the computer called.
Well the kitchen is a flatpak type, it came in a million boxes. We were originally going to get someone to make it but when I got the quotes they ranged from $8000 - $12000. This one cost $2500. So the savings were there to DIY. The scariest was when DH had to cut the benchtops. I had to go on the back verandah.
Pooky Happy Belated Anniversary. Hope DH recovers quickly. At least you spent the day together. It could have been worse.
CM It's a shame there isnt a way we can still be on the computer and iron.It will be there for you tomorrow though.
Went to bed past midnight last night. DH & I stayed up and watched a show on TV. Will pay for it as the day wears on. Some of you probably have seen it as it's a UK one. It started around the sixties and they picked quite a few kids from different parts and social classes and every 7 years would come back and film their lives. We've seen it before but really interesting program. Well best go. Have a good nights sleep.
Lucie We've had some good storms lately and the countryside around Brisbane is green. We get a lot more rain here than the mainland (bne) which is excellent but the rest of the country is bad. Bushfires down south have already caused much grief. I've seen it worse. You aren't even allowed to water your garden by hand now. You have to water it in buckets. No car washing etc.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
