Just want to say hello to everyone, I've been posting on the DFW board, but not in a DFW way!!! A few people from the OS board have invited me over for a chat, so I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
I'm from North Wales, 43, recently widowed with 5 children and a grandson.
I did make a home made lasagne yesterday, so I'm hoping this will let me in!!
Oh, I've also bought a slow cooker.

JaneyM8 welcome, good luck with the ironing, trust me it works a treat :rotfl: I'm sat on my jeans for tomorrow now, no steaming tonight of course, no sprouts/beans

Stormybay welcome to the OS board, a lot on here were thinking of you, I hope things are getting a little easier for you.

Froggergirl I hope your little one enjoys his first day, I still remember my sons first days, I collected them within an hour of dropping them off with a pathetic excuse as I missed them so much and they both were upset and didn't want to go :rotfl: softy aren't I.
One day I might be more organised...........

you'll need to share your lasagne recipe one day. and you have a slow cooker too....all you need now is a microfibre cloth and some stardrops and you will be a fully paid up member here!!

hello to all the other new people who have taken the plunge and joined in today.
its nice to hear what others get up to and to pick up little hints along the way.

What a good idea! Might try that one. My cooker needs all the help it can get:o

It is a lot easier to get the muck off, but even though I left it for 6 hours, there was still some greasy bits, but should come off if I do it again soon. I shoved a frying pan in as well and that came up as new.

It also made me give the bath a really good clean.....Yuck
