Emsbet, pretend you are offline. You are not obliged to be in front of your computer while sick.

Has anyone watched yesterday 'My child is not perfect'? I found it interesting (saw it last week too) but the title is really upsetting, the children seemed perfect to me! Just because they have some kind of medical/emotional/behaviour problem it doesn't mean they are not perfect.

I know I should just ignore them :o

I saw it advertised last night. I wanted to watch it as I think there was a child with ADHD on it and My sister's eldest is in the process of being tested for it so I thought it would be interesting and helpful to watch. But I was too poorly and tired so went to bed and forgot to sky+ it.

Yes - my M&D gave us a Sony Bravia TV for our wedding present, and I have a freeview box on the one in the bedroom.

Well there's been a change of plans - the exams office have decided that they want to go out to lunch today, so have asked me to come in after all to cover the afternoon exam. Still, it's all money isn't it.

emsbet I would be inclined to ignore the emails - after all, you aren't obliged to check emails when you're not in work anyway.

Oooo! My PILs gave us a Sony bravia for our wedding present! :)

I am going to ignore them now, one of my lovely colleagues has said she will do the work for me.

I would be beyond unimpressed if work started e-mailing me when I was off sick, I certainly wouldn't answer them! I was off ill for about 6 weeks last year and got the odd phone call which was bad enough!

Hope your OH's op goes well Kavics, nice that his Mum will look after him- men don't ever seem to grow out of wanting their Mummy to nurse them better when they're not well! :p

Sorry, I know I've been MIA for the last week or so. I have been reading but not had much to say really, still bleeding slightly after ERPC and IC HPKs still showing positive so no news on the TTC front. But I have to have a moan - I just found out via facebook that my first serious boyfriend is going to be a dad, with his GF he has been dating for less than 6 months, and their baby is due exactly the same time as the one that I would have had

It's really shocked and upset me, but I'm at work and I just don't think I can duck out, and I don't think there will be much sympathy about getting upset over a guy I haven't dated in over 10 years announcing he's having a baby. :(

Any advice other than what I'm going to do - hide in the toilets for a bit and try not to make my face too red and puffy?

    xxx

((( hugs Scarly))) No advice really, just take it easy...

Facebook is evil, I deleted all my friends from there apart from the 5 best ones and only have family members on. I feel much better now and have no desire to click yes back to friends' requests.

Big ((hugs)) sweetie, it is so hard isn't it? I've been lucky that when I've found out about most of my newly pregnant friends/family I've been at home so could have a good old cry and get it out of my system. Can you not take yourself out for a walk during your lunch break or have you already had it?

If you want to go and cry in the loo then do it. Some cold water splashed on your face should help with any puffiness.

I can chat on here or PM if you think it will help?

Hide in the toilet is what I do best:o Only dab your eyes with a tissue, don't rub it as it'll make it puffy. Wet tissues works best for me as it's cold.

At the same time of TTC I started to use a mooncup, I was thinking maybe that contributes as well? Not sure though.
I hear mooncup may shorten AF (good thing)
Birdie, OH has to have an op and the surgeon can do it on the 3rd Jan.
    Good luck with the op:o
I have thrush:o. Not sure how it happened but it's very itchy and sore:(. Going to gp on Sat morning so will mention it though trying over the counter medicine and cream at the same time too.

It must be the new thing to buy for newly weds?! :p:o

I felt quite bad them buying it because it isn't a cheap tv and they also gave us a fair amount towards the wedding and FIL, who's a photographer did the photos for us. We were very lucky.

She is lovely. She said she was cross with them emailing me and told me she would sort the work and that I should ignore the emails :o

Thanks ladies :o I hid in the toilet for a bit and managed not to cry - so thankfully no puffy face - but I'm still struggling a bit again now I'm back at my desk. I've 'unfollowed' my ex on FB so that I can't see anything in my news feed to hit me again at a later date. It was just a real kick in the gut when I saw the scan pic he'd posted and his comments on it being his 'beautiful baby'.:(

When I get my forever baby I think I'm going to keep it completely off FB. You just have no idea of the pain you might be causing other people with those kinds of posts - particularly with old friends you haven't seen/spoken to in ages and you've no real idea of their personal circumstances.

Hope you feel better soon emsbet - and I've been meaning to say for the last couple of days, good luck QQ, I hope this time you get your forever baby :o

I'm not planning on posting anything about the baby, even after it is born.

    Thanks:o
This one will most probably not result in a baby though, but will be a diagnostic trial IVF:o
