Good luck with the IVF QQ. I wouldn't necessarily assume you are in for the long haul and will be having multiple attempts, unless you want a huge family that is.With all the various issues you have to contend with, including having a once a week man, it sounds like it has the highest chance of success for you. Will you be doing ICSI, or having that as a possibility when the sample is collected at least? He has just phoned me to say that he has postponed his trip to India for a week, but that he has instead booked a flight to Athens on Sunday evening. I am really really cross! I know on the one hand that he is likely to be around when he is needed to do the deed, as he goes Sunday night, back Monday afternoon, but I had spent an absolute fortune on a babysitter, hotel room and spa treatments for Sunday to completely pamper him and give us an opportunity to BD without kids to think about, which it is too late to cancel completely, and he is likely to have to shoot off for the airport after a few hours. Bah!0

Is the hotel near the airport? Is going to Athens with him not an option?
No, the hotel is in central London. He isn't sure which airport he is flying from and I have asked him to check. His flight is at 10 apparently. Hopefully it will be Heathrow as that would be the quickest to get to from the hotel, but still about 45 minutes away.
I don't think going with him is an option sadly. I only booked the babysitter until 10pm, and she is quite young (early 20's). I am not sure she would feel confident enough to do an overnight stay in the house alone with the kids. She still likes DH to go home with her in a taxi if he has been drinking and can't drive her, as she doesn't like to travel on her own. Nice idea though.0 -
Having sent my CV out to a few places, I have just had a reply from a company who want me to come in saying that I sound ideal.
The job is a great opportunity however it would mean moving to Texas for 8-9 months. I know it is completely irrational but it sounds great and I am tempted to just up and leave for a while.
Of course I haven't got the job or discussed with OH but I can dream...Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Sounds exciting! 8-9 months isn't that long really and it might make a nice change of scenery (assuming your OH is up for it!)

qq my last af was basically a day of spotting, followed by one day of what i would call full flow (although not heavy flow) and then another day of spotting. At the time i was a bit concerned because it seemed so light and i know that can mean difficulties with ttc. But now i'm thinking maybe it wasn't even a proper af???
Anyway, i think i will take the advice of you ladies on here and do a quick test when i get in tonight. Dh won't be home when i get there so whatever the result, i will be able to compose myself before he gets in. If it's a bfn i will be disappointed but not surprised. At least i'll know either way.
Twigglet i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
And good luck with your ivf qq.
I do really appreciate you all taking the time to read and respond to my posts and hope all of you get your bfp's soon.
good luck!!! X0 -
