That's what I'm saying to DH, men can have babies well into their 80s, but DH is so unsure about his swimmers:o

I know someone who's father was 71 and his mother was 43 when he was born. It was with IVF though.
  • Morning all :)

Q - no not actively trying right now. Just keeping an eye on things if you see what I mean ;)

We hardly ever have time to BD these days to be honest. I'm thinking it might have to be an immaculate conception!! :rotfl:

Glad your hubby has agreed to another go at IVF..I will be sending plentiful good and sticky vibes your way :D

My DH is not that old though:D But reassuring.
DH's SA was pretty poor though:o

Thanks, we are in for a long haul, so this won't be our last IVF (don't tell DH:shhh:).

When I had my last DS, the girls on the pregnancy thread then used to organise periodic meets with their babies. So as 2a, kittenpie, Sa-ra-ra-ra and I have all put in our orders for a December BFP, and will thus be having our babies together next September, I propose that we now plan to meet up this time next year at the closest ToysRUs to stock up on rattly toys for Christmas :D:D

That sounds like an excellent plan :)

On that note, QQ, I'd like to predict 9 this month. Ideally one of those will be me.

Don't have any supermarkets open round here (London is so backwards)

Yes you do, Elmers End Tesco is 24hr, just the other side of Penge/Beckenham way. It's where I was at about half past ten last night, I live such a glamorous life :p

I got all excited last night (obsessively checking this thread on my phone), I told DH that there were lots of people local to us and it was really odd... his response? 'Isn't London the most densely populated city in the UK? Statistically it was always going to be likely that there would be more people near us.' Smart@rse.

Nikki, I don't blame you for never braving the wilds of Croydon. It's not very exciting (although it does have a House of Fraser which makes me very happy); I live here because I moved in with DH after we met and it's cheap and convenient for work. We're currently half-heartedly house hunting, as I want to be further into London (it distresses me being this far out), but until we find something perfect there's no point in moving.

I was in a department store yesterday and they had LOADS of sparkly reindeer - I may have taken photographs :o

The friend I was shopping with gave me a very odd look when she noticed what I was doing. It entertained me a great deal.

I can't post pictures, I don't have anywhere to host them remotely... Does someone want to do it for me?

    Hello everyone,

I haven't posted on here in ages as I had nothing to report, but I've been lurking and trying to keep with everyone. Anyway, some of the posts I've read today re "I didn't know I was pregnant" etc have prompted me to post about what's been on my mind.

I was expecting AF to arrive on Sunday (CD30). To be completely honest DH and I have not BD'd at all this cycle for various reasons so I have no reason to think that she would not arrive. Last month I did have AF (although pretty light) so common sense dictates that AF, coupled with lack of BD means not pregnant. I have also been suffering with mega PMS symptoms (highly emotional, sore bosoms) for approx 2 weeks.

However, I am now CD34 and still no sign whatsover of AF. Now I know in my head that she is just around the corner but......I can't help wondering whether I have been pregnant all along and what I thought was a light AF last month actually wasn't. I'm being completely daft I know I am, but I can't help wondering.

I'm sure AF is just a bit late this month but if she doesn't show by Saturday I'm going to have to test to confirm as I have a night out with a friend planned. Mind you, I've probably done it now by posting this and she'll arrive this afternoon!

Sorry for the ramblings - it's so nice to be able to sound off somewhere!

Some women do bleed when pg and that can lead to a number not knowing they are as they see no reason to test.

Do you have any tests at home you could use today or tomorrow morning? If you are pg, you could be potentially 8 weeks so you need to get booked in etc so you can have a scan date. If not you will know and have a few days to digest that before you go have some  at the weekend.

    Hi Emsbet,

I do have a couple of the Superdrug tests at home. I was holding off doing one because it's more likely that I'm not pg and I didn't want to test for it to be negative. I suppose it may be worth doing one just to confirm that I'm not, rather than because I think I might be if that makes sense?

It's so strange, the tricks your mind plays on you when you are ttc isn't it? The daft thing is we'd decided to relax about things until after Christmas and I wasn't at all bothered about not conceiving this month but as soon as I started to think there might be chance I was pg after all........... I think I'm just going a bit mad now!
