Trying for a baby is fun
Watching a birth is like being at war
Having children is the best and worst thing you could ever do

Thats one perspective for you! hehe

*shrug* it doesn't matter now anyway. I guess I just forget that what happened isn't important/doesn't matter to anyone but DH and I.

    xx

    we care

a girl who got married after me has just put her scan on fb, really got to me for some reason, seems like everyone who got engaged after me is now popping them out :(
so last night we went for rare steak and wine as a general eff you to our situation :) realised i care so much about conceiving this month not only cos i'd love to announce at christmas to close family but also i always thought i'd be very pregnant by the time our first baby's due date came round, which was the 8th January.

SS lots and lots, which is always naughty. just have to keep reminding myself that was convinced both cycles after my mc as well and i wasn't lol

...and secretly i quite like the 2WW, the hope and the dreaming and the fantasising about seeing those two lines is great :) and then i'll get a BFN on Saturday and pout for five minutes, then think oh well, more excuses to jump the husband :rotfl:

speaking of which, he woke me up for some last night and i rejected him cos the smell of his breath knocked me sick. feel really bad cos i actually told him that too and he remembered :s x x

emsbet sending big hugs and hope you are ok about buying the card/gift for your colleague.

I know this might sound weird, but it is helpful to read your and others' posts on here as a friend of mine had a mc very recently and I want to be really supportive and NOT be one of those insensitive people (although I'm sure I am sometimes). I think sometimes people really do care but don't know how to express that (especially because we a-emotional Brits!).

Re: the facebook chat that was going on earlier - my mother in law is a nightmare (only on facebook, lovely in real life) and doesn't understand that the 'wall' is public so has in the past written very personal things about other people for all to see! So if we ever have any big news (like when we got engaged) we temporarily close our facebook profiles so she can't announce things for us!

I have just done a bulk buy on Amazon of pregnancy tests. I am such a fan of money saving that I can't bear the thought of spending more than £10 on one test even though I know I wouldn't care less if I was actually pregnant! :money: My poor husband can't stand it, I am always trying to save money and curb spending... once I queued for ages at Tesco customer services to get a £1 refund as I'd been overcharged. He went and sat in the car... fun times in our thrifty household!! BUT we have just bought our first place and been able to furnish it nicely which is in part thanks to my thrift!! :)

Hope you lovely ladies are all having a good day. I am sooo busy at work but taking a virtual coffee break on here for a break!

Maybe although I didn't mention cards or collections just that she'd had the baby as no one else is friends with her on fb and I'm the one people kept asking so I thought I'd tell them in one email instead of having to say it over and over in person.

I'm usually the one who gets given the task of organising cards/presents etc so that's more likely to be why.

*shrug* it doesn't matter now anyway. I guess I just forget that what happened isn't important/doesn't matter to anyone but DH and I.

Sadly Ems you find that indeed people don't care all that much (I'm not talking about good friends here btw), more aquaintances/colleagues etc.

When I had my mc I had a few of my team email me and say how sorry there were etc, yet I clearly remember my first day back a whole load of them literally standing around my desk having a loud conversation about their kids/babies/birth/cbeebies etc.

It was literally like I wasn't there, in the end I had to get up and go and lock myself in a toilet and cry.

Insensitive b@stards the lot of them. But it was like you said..it's not as important to anyone else. They all had their kids and had forgotten about what had juat happened to me within a day of me going back to work :(

Hi everyone, can I officially come in and join you? I tend to lurk a lot on the boards but don't post too much cos I can never think of anything to say that others would find interesting! Anyhoo, now trying for our second as well!

Hi Bufger! Remember you from when I was expecting DS who is now 13 months.

Anyhoo, now trying for our second as well! Have been for a couple of cycles but nothing doing so far. However, coming on here keeps my PMA up! I think I also need QQ telling me off for SSing as I did it loads this time. I am on CD1 today (well I'm saying it is) and am going to be positive.

Emsbet - have to agree with MV. I simply didn't tell anyone in work in the hope I could avoid things like that. Didn't work as some people are just so insensitive and so "me me me" that they can't see how much hurt they cause other people. I really hope that if you do it that it will help you. And we do care - even those of us who don't post very often (ie me!).

    Hi MV!!
