Q - I'm going for a 12 this month. With all the Bd'ing planned I'm confident there will be plenty of 'jackpots'!

My OH said the other day that it's all or nothing on the BDing front from me - by day 5 in the ov days last cycle he couldn't manage it! With one thing and another, we haven't done it since.

Now on CD5 & I expect my fertile period to start next Thursday.

PMA & hugs to all who need it. I'm just not very good at the waiting game.

Planning on booking a holiday for May - even if I got pg this month, this would be fine. Still having a dilemma about what to do about Sept holiday with friends. At the moment, just not mentioning it - don't want to tell them we are 'trying' and don't want to mess them about if we did get pg.

It's flippin' difficult. We can take a pill to not get pg, why can't we take one to get pg ?!?!?!?!?

Is it normal to have a review appointment after a mc? I was given a printout of the findings from the EPU and they told me to drop them through the surgery door, but I've not heard anything since - we're just 'getting on with it' (sometimes better than others).

I think they only tend to do follow ups when theres been a previous miscarriage or complications. I never had a follow up and tbh i'm glad cos i think i would have punched my gp had he said something as insensitive as what Nicki got, it was bad enough he told me to get a bus to the hospital when it was apparent i was bleeding very heavily tmi but it had soaked through a pair of jeans and down to my ankles within 30 seconds of me standing up so i got to go in a nice ambulance instead.

Well I am now implant free :):) although am still a bit scared about what if my cycles don't start up again or we struggle but i think its all what if's and i just need to forget and relax, it did keep me up a lot last night though and then OH stole the duvet off me so I ended up shouting at him then crying so he cuddled me to sleep.

The doctor at this surgery is a lot different to the gp's I had back home. In a good way I guess but she didn't really have much to say when I said we were going to ttc which i thought she might have but maybe it's because they don't have all my notes yet. I moved to Ripon in July but only registered at the doctors at the beginning of the month.

I've had the day off today and OH is working but i haven't got the gusto to do anything. Think it's cos of lack of sleep last night though, tried card making and got bored after one card so put everything away, watched a film and am supposed to be comping to win us some nice things but i couldn't be bothered with that either. I have however just made some bun which i am going to go ice soon :) might even bring one or two in to the AF room. :)

I am 12dpo today and got no signs of AF but no symptoms of anything else either. Off to see Micky Flannagan tonight so hopefully that will be good and take my mind off things for a few hours.

Rationally, we are moving, i am doing a degree and have DD so veyr lucky and busy, but i desperately want a BFP and I can't help how I feel.

Hi all, sorry to see that PMA has been lacking a bit lately...huge ((HUGS)) to everyone that would like one :o

Fingers crossed BigZ and anyone else testing soon - let's get a couple of BFPs in early in the month, eh?!

Sexymouse - I know it's annoying not having a very regular cycle length, but TBH I don't think your cycles are THAT irregular (I wouldn't have thought it's cause for concern, just irritating as far as TTC goes!)

RE summer/september babies - my birthday is September but for various reasons I was a year ahead at school, so I was actually the youngest in my year! Didn't make any difference academically or emotionally, but physically I was very small (still am!) and so was absolutely useless at PE until I was in my teens and caught up a bit. My DH really wanted a Sept/Oct baby, and was keen to avoid a July/Aug baby...so we started TTC last xmas. Well we're due a June baby so he didn't get what he wanted - it's impossible to plan these things! I'll just be grateful to get a baby (fingers crossed) :o

I saw that Food Hospital programme last night...thought the PCOS bit was really interesting...however, I fell asleep halfway through and so didn't see the outcome of her dietary changes! :rotfl:

Right, better go and start DH's tea before he gets home, or I'll be in trouble! ;)

    Hugs to all

    BB x

  • I'm an August baby (20th). I didn't struggle at school at all academically but I would say that I was the quiet one, whether that's just my personality or birthday related I wouldn't know. The thing that ALWAYS annoyed me was that my birthdays were in the summer holidays so I never got birthday cards- I just got old. Lol.

I read a similar article a while ago where they had studied the birthdays of elite athletes/ sports men and women. They found that your son was more likely to be a professional footballer if their brithday fell between September and March as they were more likely to be physically bigger, stronger, picked first and more confident than their summer counterparts. I think that it probably makes more of a difference academically for boys rather than girls- they always say around exam results time how girls are beating boys academically, possibly because they mature quicker?

Anyway... that's my couch based science theory!

I've just gone over my previous cycle lengths and I'm stumped. I don't know what's going on with them. I had mirena removed in April (I had it fitted 09/2008 for PCOS and endometriosis and didn't have AF with it) and have since had the following cycles
    AF 05/04- CD30
    AF 05/05- CD34
    AF 08/06- CD37
AF 15/07- CD41 (really believed that was my month...cried so hard when AF came)
    AF-25/08- CD35
    AF-29/09- CD35

No AF yet but my bbt is dropping. If I average the days it's 35.3 days long. I'm on CD35 now- I've had slightly lower temps for two days though and if I can use last month (this is 2nd cycle of temping) as an indicator I think AF will arrive tomorrow :(. Does anyone have any tips/ books/ advice on how to regulate my cycles? I am using a standard digital thermometer for bbt at the moment, should I invest in a two decimal place bbt?

I'm going to watch food hospital on 4od now to see if it can give me any PCOS advice! :)
