OH is OK, it looks a lot worse than it feels according to him, he's got a surprisingly high threshold for pain considering he's a man!
Think he's so used to breaking things and getting covered in scrapes and bruises from rugby that he takes it all in his stride. He did say he's sick of it already though which isn't good as he's got a lot of healing to do which is going to take a long time!
It could get worse as he heals thoughI think if the burns are more than a certain thickness, they go through the nerve endings, so they don't hurt much, or sometimes at all to begin with. You heal from the bottom up, and as you get to the nerve endings, they start to fire off "ouch" signals. He might want to have some strong painkillers in, just in case this is what happens to him and it starts on a Friday night when it would be hard to get a prescription for a while.
Did she pour it into his lap, or is it somewhere a bit easier to cope with? Good luck with claiming some compensation. Did they fill out an accident report at the time, or do you have the names and addresses of some of his fellow passengers should they get silly about it? If you get stuck at any stage and want some help with this, feel free to drop me a PM (I was a rottweiler lawyer in my previous life)

Imagine if everyone on this thread got pregnant this month!!
That would be so fantastic! We'd have to start our own thread, as the older girls in less than 12 weeks would just be overwhelmed :rotfl:. When I log in their thread is hardly ever on my front page, whereas this one always is. They can't be as chatty as us0 -
QQ, please put me down for 8 on the predictions0

Well I've just sat down and counted cycle days for the last year, and my cycles seem to have varied a lot - does this look normal? What should I classify my cycle length as? I know it takes a while for your body to regulate after coming off the pill, but I came off the pill in June 2010.

I suppose it's possible that some of the ones before April could've been a couple of days longer as I didn't know about full flow until I joined the thread in April.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -

I'm a bit worried about the lack of pain right now TBH, think he's got some strong stuff in the drawer from his last hideous injury (tore all the ligaments in his knee and was laid up for 9 months!) so we've got something for when/if it does start to hurt a lot. The burn is on his shoulder and the top of his arm, about 15x10cm, really minging at the minute as it's all blistered and weepy _pale_
Luckily OH was on the plane with 20 other guys in his party so we've got them as witnesses and a couple of other men sat nearby gave OH their business cards in case he needed them to verify what happened. He said that they filled in a report but had a feeling that they were making a lot of it up, blaming it on the guy behind OH at first, saying that he'd tripped the stewardess (he was asleep and had no idea what was going on!) then saying that there'd been turbulence (which no-one else had felt!). Luckily OH remembered the name of the stewardess and he's got a copy of the Spanish medical report from when he was first treated, he's going to ask for a copy of his record from the nurse or doctor tomorrow when he goes to get his dressing changed. We're sending a letter off with a copy of the reports and some nasty looking photos of the burn and hoping that they'll come back with a reasonable offer and a proper apology since the cabin crew were awful to him! If you don't mind I might need to PM you once we get a response from them as I'm guessing we'll have to take it further!
I would be awesome if everyone got PG for Christmas! I just want AF to arrive this month, that's all I'm aiming for!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Sexymouse - your cycle lengths look fine to me. My cycle is normally between 25 and 29 days but has been longer sonetimes. I think what us more important is the time from ov to AF which I think should be at least 10 days.
Birdie - your poor OH that sounds awful :eek:0 -
Thanks Primmer.
Birdie if the wound is weeping it may be worth going back to the doctor's as he may need some antibiotics if it is infected - this is one of the major risk factors with burns. Hope it heals quickly. ETA just read that he's going tomorrow. Hope it turns out ok.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
I finally got my test results back. Apparantly they all came back normal but the doctor wants to see me for a review so I have to go in on Friday afternoon. I assuming review means she want to see if I'm still bleeding maybe?

Pleased to hear that the infections have all gone emsbet - maybe the review on Friday is also to see how you're coping emotionally, as they can probably refer you to a consellor if you need some more support. Will be thinking of you on Friday anyway.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

I had a review appointment 2 weeks after my miscarriage emsbet. To be honest it was a bit of a waste of time. It was the one where my doctor made the infamous "It's not the end of the world if you don't get pregnant again" comment. The purpose as it turned out was to discuss whether we were going to try again or not, and if not what form of contraception we should use. There was no physical exam, no discussions as to what had happened last time round (even when we tried to query this) and only very limited advice as to whether anything could be done in future pregnancies to prevent it happening again. I'd guess all doctors maybe do this differently, and some don't do it at all I think. For me, though, I didn't find it at all helpful.0
