Pleased to hear that the infections have all gone emsbet - maybe the review on Friday is also to see how you're coping emotionally, as they can probably refer you to a consellor if you need some more support. Will be thinking of you on Friday anyway.

Thanks. Yeah maybe that's what it is.

I'm still bleeding/spotting today, it's the weirdest kind of bleeding ever. TMI coming up..... it's been red/brown on wiping but brown/dark brown on my pad most of the time. The last two days however its been mostly brown on wiping (a bit of red this morning) but on my bad it's really dark brown, almost black! I'm guessing as all my swabs came back negative it just must be really old blood that's taking it's time to come out? Either way it looks gross and it's making me feel a bit skanky! :o:cool:

I had a review appointment 2 weeks after my miscarriage emsbet. To be honest it was a bit of a waste of time. It was the one where my doctor made the infamous "It's not the end of the world if you don't get pregnant again" comment. The purpose as it turned out was to discuss whether we were going to try again or not, and if not what form of contraception we should use. There was no physical exam, no discussions as to what had happened last time round (even when we tried to query this) and only very limited advice as to whether anything could be done in future pregnancies to prevent it happening again. I'd guess all doctors maybe do this differently, and some don't do it at all I think. For me, though, I didn't find it at all helpful.

Ok maybe that's what it is. I still can't believe your doctor said that! Hopefully mine won't say anything like that. TBH she has been lovely both times I've seen her (she was the one who signed me off for a month). I think she is fairly newly qualified (she has to go check with another doctor each time I see her) so I think she is a lot more eager to help and maybe has some more up to date ideas than some of the older doctors. I may talk to her and she if she thinks I would benefit from counselling as although I'm feeling better today than yesterday it's still really up and down and I do feel like I could be easily pushed over the edge. :o

Is it normal to have a review appointment after a mc? I was given a printout of the findings from the EPU and they told me to drop them through the surgery door, but I've not heard anything since - we're just 'getting on with it' (sometimes better than others).

Yup yup, that's how mine was at the end - I bled for about 3 weeks altogether, and it was really really dark when it tailed off.

So, no news yet at my end - still waiting on EWCM to make an appearance although my app is telling me we need to get on with it. DH actually had a bit of a moan at me last night for not initiating anything, because he knew it was a fertile time and we should be doing something about it!

I'd like to guess 10 this month please QQ - although I do think that after the run of bad luck we've been having, we all deserve one soon.

I don't know. I had a really bad time when I had my first miscarriage with horrible uncaring staff and real problems getting a scan when I urgently needed one, so since then I have always had all my antenatal/gynaecological care privately. So I actually paid, through the nose, for my consultant to be a tw*t. (Actually he never billed me for that consultation so I think he may have recognised that he stepped over the line and decided not to. He did bill me though for the first one where the miscarriage was confirmed)

I didn't have any kind of check up or review after my first mc. I assume that the one this time is either because I had a few complications or because I was further along than last time, or a combination of both?

Ok that's good to know. Hopefully this means it is nearing the end as it will be four weeks on Sunday since I had the medical management.

I finally got my test results back. Apparantly they all came back normal but the doctor wants to see me for a review so I have to go in on Friday afternoon. I assuming review means she want to see if I'm still bleeding maybe?

    xx

Fab news on the test results :j
