I'm usually fine after the flu jab as well, I like to get it as I'm frontline NHS, working with pregnant ladies and new babies, so better to be safe than sorry around them0

Mine is for asthma. I figure that if I find it difficult to breathe when I have a cold, it would be a lot worse with flu! So again, better safe than sorry.
I was so pleased that they run a similar programme here, as in the UK, so I've continued to get the jab since moving here. Mine isn't until next Thursday though. Just got to stay away from all the sick people on the germ boxes (train and metro) between now and then! :rotfl:February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Sexymouse - huge hugs for AF showing up. It is horrid when she shows up and even worse on those months we have got our hopes up. Have a wallowing day today and eat whatever you fancy and then from tomorrow look forward to the next month. I hope you get you BFP real soon (hugs)

Where do you think you are in your cycle? That might give you a guide as to where it SHOULD be, which you can use as a baseline to compare in your next cycle.
For me, TMI but during and just after my period, I go to check position, and OMG I've bumped into it just as I started to check. :rotfl: Mid cycle I can touch it comfortably without getting that same sense of shock. When I am due to ovulate, I can't really reach it (only with the very tip of my longest finger) hth0 -
emsbet, glad second day back went OK:o
Any pic of the shelves?:)
Thanks. There are pictures but to be honest they are not that interesting as all I did was paint 20 black shelves, cream.trixietoes wrote: »Hello all
Just a question about CM checking.
How many times a day do you check? I have read conflicting things as 1 book said 3 times a day (which seems somewhat excessive to me) and another said once a day is all that is needed. I have been checking once a day.. that's ok isn't it?
Also anyone check their cervix height? I checked for the 1st time the other day but the thing is I don't know if it is high or low. I understand that I will have to keep checking and do a compare and contrast and I'll get to know through out the month BUT is there any rule of thumb for new checkers like me.
I read that it is best to check once a day around the same time of day to give the best comparison.
I checked mine the month I got my last BFP and it is true you get to know by checking through out the month. Everyone is different but you will generally know when it is high as you will have to reach quite far. The difference between high and low is quite dramatic, it's just the inbetween stages that are harder to tell.
With the firmness I read somewhere, I think on FF, that a firm cervix feels like the tip of your nose, and I noticed that when checking.
Here's what FF says re: cervical position;
"If you suddenly cannot feel your cervix, it probably means that it has moved to a high position and you should consider yourself at your most fertile. If you often have difficulty reaching your cervix, you may be able to reach it using a different position. Lying on your back with your legs up may make your cervix easier to reach."Emsbet - did you go to pub quiz last night? Thanks for all of the hugs. I haven't had a call for work yet (don't know if I'll get one for the afternoon), so am lounging in bed watching tv with the cat. Need to wash my hair today, so may have a bath instead of a shower.

I'm sorry the witch has arrived SexyMouse, your DH is such a sweetie for looking after you though! You really do sound like the cutest couple! You're just one month closer to getting your BFP
I'm still waiting for AF, really bored of this! DH was away on my brother's stag weekend in Spain (where he got a pot of hot coffee spilt on him by an stupid stewardess... 3rd degree burns! :eek: I'm not letting him leave the country without me again!) and I collected him from the airport on Monday afternoon, in the car on the way home he declared that his first task was to 'give me a baby'! LOL! I would have rather he showered first but I didn't want to turn him down! :rotfl:
Last night he asked me if I was PG with a really serious face... because I'd made a really bad 'Mum Joke' and laughed at mysefl! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
