    squ1rrel5 Do you have PCOS?

As an aside - perhaps all of us ladies should have our own section as well, so we can talk about things there too that may related to us more? Just a thought?

Could you be ovulating later than you think?

I have to say this is the strongest the line has ever been, for me. I think my body geared up to ovulate twice this month as I had visible, but not as dark lines on two different days.. and thought I wouldnt ovulate this month. Just by sheer chance, I did an OPK today (haven't done one over the last couple of days) and I bet I hit it RIGHT on the Lh surge! Do you think something similar could be happening to you - if in doubt, I hugely recommend temping and testing with OPKS daily...Keep testing, even though you see no line because you could just be ovulating later and a really dark line will show it's self soon.

Hows your CM? That was a big give away for me over the last two days - it has been plentiful this month, and again more than ever!

welcome studentmrs! Most of the acronyms and all the other helpful stuff we generally use is on the first page. But do ask us if you arent sure. I hope your stay here is brief! :D

    Welcome Student_Mrs:wave:
Shall we count today as CD1 for now?
There's list of acronyms on the first page:)
Can you figure out when you are ovulating? Are your cycles regular?
Hope you catch the eggy before you get your AF:j

Squ1rrels, not everyone gets strong lines like 2ba3cs, so don't worry:)
Grapefruit juice is for ewcm, should be taken for few days until ov (stop at ov, not so good for implantation). It also makes your insides more hospitable to the swimmers:)

To be honest, I'm probably worrying undluly as I havent done all the relevant tests etc...

As far as I know I dont have PCOS - but saying that i've not had cause to have it diagnosed before. I am quite a bit overweight and suffer from acne every now and again but ive put that down to a bad diet sometimes and stress with work. My periods have been and are still so regular that i've never thought about it until now really...

I've just been dicussing with my OH about stuff and we have decided that I should probably go and visit the doctor soon just to be sure. I doubt that she'll test me after only a few months of ttc but id be seeing her more about my weight loss and hoping for a pre conception diet plan or something! (no matter how hard I try, I just cannot lose weight - been at ww for 18 months now and lost 1 stone despite doing everything possible - but thats a story for another thread I think).

Could be that i may ov a little later than expected or may have happened earlier than expected as wasnt testing early on in the cycle.

I havent checked my CM although think I will go to the bathroom and have a poke around in a bit!!! :rotfl:

If nothing happens this month, then I think I will definitely start temping next month - I guess this is what the doc would want me to have done anyway prior to seeing them about my fertility....

I was just doing some googling, (because obviously the more searches I do the faster I will get pregnant :rotfl:) and came across this which made me laugh:

"Some couples may try to time having sex with when the woman ovulates (releases an egg). However, guidance from NICE (National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence) advises that this causes stress and is not recommended."

    http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/2295.aspx?CategoryID=54&SubCategoryID=127

Wonder what 'NICE' would think about opks, cbfm, cm, cervix checking etc haha! (Let alone the fact you kinda have to in order to get pregnant!!)

Im guessing a man wrote that!

Then it gets even funnier because on another page it says

"When you're ovulating, you're at your most fertile. So if you're trying for a baby, it's the best time of the month to have sex. "

    !!

Just checked my CM as 2b suggested (TMI warning).... its very creamy white so nowhere near EWCM - theres no chance that OH's swimmers are gonna get through that tonight!! :(

I'd be having quints if this was true!! LOL

I'm rather ashamed that I got a waggy finger from QQ for ss'ing. Naughty me :(

Needless to say that I didn't manage to get much tidying done, because I am a lazy slattern. I did discover that as well as living in my OH's car, our mice have stripped my feather duster to nest in my cupboards.

    Cheeky beggars.
