BFN for me this morning. Well, initially a squinter, but the line was so shadowy and had no colour that I decided it was BFN and when I did an emsbet and fished it out of the bin an hour later it had totally disappeared, so I think I was right. Can't decide whether this means I am definitely out or testing too early. My first CBFM peak was 12 days ago, but on the other hand I am only on CD23 and my normal cycle is 27-28 days. I'm going to try not to worry about it, I think.

Had a weird backhanded compliment at church this morning, when someone came bowling up and told me I looked a lot younger! I'm guessing this means I usually look like a raddled old hag :D A few people have asked me recently if I've lost weight and how I've done it, and somehow telling them it has been the after effect of a miscarriage doesn't seem the done thing, or a diet plan they probably wish to follow themselves....

2 out of the 3 kids have been nightmares today, and I am hoping that they are not coming down with some nasty illness as it isn't like them. Also happens to be the two who have no organised activities next week, so I need to find ways to keep them occupied and not killing each other. My DD shoved the toddler so hard today after the church service that he flew off his feet and landed on his back several feet away, which is so unlike her as she is usually very gentle with him, but also gave some of the congregation something to talk about over lunch I suspect.

    Hello All,

We've decided to try for baby number 2. Illaready have a daughter that is 3 and a half. I have PCOS and it took 2 years to fall prenant with DD. I just wondered if anyone is in a similar postion and is trying or has had a 2nd baby with PCOS.

Ideally I would like to pregnant before June time next year, what are the chances if it took 2 years for DD, lol. We conceived without help so I suppose thats a bit of a bonus, but if things don't work out I'm not objectuve to going down fertility tretament route.

Some places I have researched say trying fro a 2nd baby with PCOS can be easier but others disagree. It's diffcut what to believe and I suppose every person wll be different.

Anyway I look forward to reading the thread and wish everyone good luck with TTC.

    Hi All

Hope you don't mind me popping in (just stumbled across this thread)-don't know how I haven't seen it before :o
Anyway I hope to offer a little encouragement to all of you.
I have been with hubby for 11 years and trying for a baby for 9 years without so much as a "scare" -not that I would call it that but hey ho...
2 weeks ago I was at the hospital for the results of an MRI scan on my pelvis (for a totally unrelated issue), the DR. looked mighty nervous as he told me that they hadn't actually completed the MRI with the contrast dye as they had "found something" -so Im thinking ohh gawd what I have I got, when he actually told me that they had spotted an early pregnancy :j...... I hadn't a clue, although there were symptoms as I was falling asleep a lot etc -but I just put that down to the 90 odd boxes I had been packing ready to move house :o
Its early days yet so Im not banking on anything -but having actually conceived is a 1st for us :T -I could be anything upto about 12 weeks but as my cycle is a mess I don't know. Im moving back to the UK on Monday so 1st stop is to register with the DR and get a midwifes appointment (well after I have stopped in tesco to get 1 of the tests that tells you how far along you are :rotfl:)
Just to give you all some hope.... I will be 40 in December (although if anyone asks Im twenty-tooty ;)) and hubby is 47 ...so no spring chickens. The only think that has really changed for us is that I have lost a lot of weight, and even now Im keeping on with the healthy eating and have lost another 2.5lbs since I found out -Im hoping to give us the best chance possible of getting a healthy baby at the end of it.
So don't give up -you really do "never know" -
Congratulations to those who have just found out the are expecting and pinkies crossed that as many of us as possible getting our dream.
Right I will sneak back out again :p

    Hi and welcome missty:wave:
I have PCOS, but am trying for number one, I had a mc 2 years ago:o

    How are your cycles?
    How do you determine ovulation?
You got pg once, you can do it again, good luck:j

As for fertility treatments, I've done clomid, 3 IUIs and one IVF with not so much as a false positive after my natural pregnancy which ended in mc:o

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you lose? Were you overweight? No need to answer with precise numbers if you don't want to:p
