Nicki - Good Luck for testing (I'd totally test now!)

I'm in London. If you don't mind me asking, which clinic did you use and would you recommend them? I have heard good things about all of them apart from the LWC and I would be keen on the Lister.

No, but only because they only did IUIs on weekdays and I surged on Saturday afternoon so the timing of my last one was off. Otherwise they were very nice and professional.

I think they are much of a muchness. If I were doing it again, I'd look for one which is open at weekends too (some are) and choose the most convenient one with a decent published success rate.

The FS I saw was based in Harley Street and didn't do his own IUIs but sent me off to a clinic near Regents Park. He did all the preparatory investigations and scans though. He personally is lovely and a very good doctor but he works closely with a nurse practitioner who is frankly an evil cow, and for that reason alone I would hesitate to recommend him, even though he did help us conceive my first child. The NP though telephoned me an hour before I was due to have the IUI and proceeded to have a screaming argument with me (completely initiated by her) which meant I was late for the appointment and arrived stressed and tearful. I'll never know if that contributed to it not working but I to this day begrudge a single penny of the money I paid for it going towards her salary. When I complained to the doctor afterwards, his response was he was aware she could be "brusque" but she was clinically excellent. I would say not so much brusque as mentally unhinged myself!

    Morning.
TMI moment: Feeling a bit fed up this morning. Was BDing with OH this morning and it went a bit wrong. OH went floppy and that was the end of that. It has happened a few times and he does not know why (or won't tell me why) when I try to get him to talk about it. He said it could have been because he may have needed to pee. Feel like he doesn't find me sexy, and when I ask him he says that he does and he does not know why it happens. Not the best thing to happen around ovulation. And I am not pressurizing him either about BDing, so that is not the reason. The worst bit is that sex with OH is not as good as with my ex but I cannot say that to OH. OH is so much better than ex-OH. And I never had this problem with ex-OH. I am not comparing, I am just unsure why it is happening.

Anyone had this happen to them?
Sorry I sound a complete biatch about it, but it is worrying me.

  • Morning Ladies,
Did a test this morning 10 miu but negative so I figure I cant have ovulated when the test said I did - which for a digital is a bit concerning!? That said CD9 was ov day but now Im on CD28 - 19 day luteal phase - I think unlikely!! And even if it was delayed a few days Im sure a test would should positive now so Im waiting ! I may continue the Ov test after i get the smiley next month to see whats happening!

Flee - sorry to hear that but I would try not to read too much into it - maybe he was tired or bit stressed about something he has to do at work today or something - I am sure its something and nothing - try not to worry! xx

I wish my cycles were regularly the same length and like clockwork - I can have 28 day-ers although rare but normally longer - 37 days! The last one was 37 and I can see this going that way although my b*obs are sore.

I think Ill def do Ov tests daily next month and see what that shows - were meant to be "just seeing if it happens" so I darent start temping and all that in front of OH for fear it will freak him out!

I guess I can keep a good eye on EWCM and use that as an indicator too!!

Feel deflated today - that evap line from Sunday's got my hopes up despite saying it hadnt and I was trying to stay level headed - Ahh well onwards on upwards - frustrating that I know Ill have to wait ages for AF I think before starting all over again!

    Harrruuummppphhh!

Any tips for bring AF on faster Ladies??!

    Good morning, another summery day:wave:

Seems I'm oving soon, I have great ewcm without even drinking grapefruit juice. Pity I can't BD yet again, but good to know I'm oving:o

    MrsHappy, 6 feet at 14:shocked:
You are lucky to have such a responsible son:)
2ba3c, for you, IUI would be a great option. NHS won't offer that until further down the line, but it'll time your donor perfectly:o
You did get pg once before, so so long as you can time the donor perfectly, you should be able to get pg again:)
Flee, same thing has happened on numerous occasions with my DH.
It's not because he doesn't find you sexy, it seems to be because of ov.
