I feel like I've put about half a stone on in the last week (and looking at my holiday photos makes me feel really bad as I look like a beached whale
).
I'm sure the photos are not as bad as you say:)I've decided I'm going to test on Sunday assuming AF hasn't arrived by then.I have been stressed out of my head the last few weeks with cowboy builder issues, but things seem to me moving the right way now, so I'm very happy with that-also the plumber today was very easy on the eyes
Naughty cowboysHope it gets sorted soon.
As for the plumber,I can't remember who was asking about leaving kids in on there own-my DS is 14 and he was given a house key when he started high school, when he was 11 and a half,Am a wee bit nervous about doctors appointment tomorrow, but she did ask me to go back quickly, I think that talking to a doctor about TTC will make it even more official than it already is if that makes sense?

Glad you had a nice dinner with your parents:)
Naughty cowboysHope it gets sorted soon.
As for the plumber,
It was me who asked. I know it depends on the child, but seems your son is very responsible person:T
thanks, it was nice to chill out for a wee while, the building work has been dreadful:mad: but I don't have the energy to rant about it anymore!
To be honest, my wee guy (all 6 feet of him ) is a total space cadet most of the time, :rotfl:but needs must, and giving him a key was the only option at the time, being fair to him thought, he does come straight home most of the time, if he is going to be late he phones or texts and quite often he goes into my mum and dads on the way home-they live near his school and my work so he gets a lift home then! I'm finding it easy to be nice about him tonight cos he's not here-he usually does my head in :rotfl:

Nicki, your posts have been so helpful in prompting me to try to demand more from my GP and I think some my Bupa membership covers fertility investigation.
I don't know realistically how long I can leave it. Can I have your thoughts please....
My GP said to come back in 6 months (this was after the PCOS diagnosis), and they could start looking into the drug option for me (Chlomid?)
We're now on the 5th month of TTC... however, we're using a donor. We can only see him once or twice a month, so timing it IS difficult with my periods being all over the place and no guaranteed ovulation. Plus we can't BD whenever we want (obv!) - and if our time runs out - we're left with the option of finding someone else (very difficult, we were SO lucky to find this one) or going privately, which we can't afford right now. And I know I'm not old (I'm just about to turn 32, but of course my age weighs on my mind).
I know I'm being completely impatient, but I don't want to find out that we were too late to do anything with all our options running outBaby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Hi 2ba3c. If your Bupa covers it, I would definitely ask for a referral to a fertility specialist if you don't get a BFP this month, and have treatment planned by him, rather than your GP. Not being specialists, GPs tend to be fairly blunt tools in this area, and at best will just hand you a standard prescription and send you off to try. The FS will usually have ultrasound on site, and can offer you a monitored cycle where they scan you to make sure the clomid is working properly and help you pinpoint ovulation precisely.
If you could afford it though a cycle of IUI might be far more successful than having to rely on the availability of your donor. This is because they treat the sperm (by spinning in a centrifuge) so only the strongest ones get used, and they time the cycle to exactly coincide with ovulation, by monitoring your whole cycle by ultrasound and OPKs, so that both you and him are in optimum condition. Our last attempt was about 3 years ago now and IIRC cost around £1000 for the whole thing. This was in London so other parts of the country may be cheaper. It wouldn't be covered by insurance though.0 -
Its after midnight so i am technically 14dpo now I think. Guess I should wait until I've been to sleep before testing though! Hope I don't wake up to find I've been visited in the night.0

Fanstastic advice Nicki.
I'm pretty sure I've had all the feriltiy investigations done on the NHS, I would be entitled to under the BUPA policy (blood test, ultrasound) - but it's definitely worth checking and I'm all fired up ready to call them (tomorrow!)Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
And Im going to delete part of that post up there, because it could make me very easily identifiable..Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0
