As expected, AF has arrived in full force so CD1 for me :( had to skip going out to dinner for a friend's birthday because I'm no condition to leave the house. Partly due to the pain and partly because I had a bit of a cry and am now all red and puffy! DH has gone for the both of us and is under strict instructions to bring back chips&cheese, icecream, milkshake, cream pastries, choc bar and anything else naughty he can find. I'm going to have an evening of excess then get back on the diet bandwagon tomorrow!! :D

Only 10 day LP again, and spotting since 6DPO. Think I may give soy a go this next cycle, I know you've tried it before QQ, in a non-medical and purely advisory manner how much/when do you take them? At this rate I'm going to be rattling seeing as I'm already taking AC, EPO, vitB6 and vitE as well as folic acid! I'm so glad that none of my friends have starting having kids yet, otherwise I think I'd be having even more trouble with the fact that my stupid body can't seem to do blimmin anything right!!

    OK, rant over.... :o

I'm right there with you bigZ and tink, PMA through the floor.

Hope you manage to catch the eggy 2b.

    xxx

Definitely, congrats QQ - its's better than a + or a sts! I haven't dared to get on the scales yet, but when I do, I will be weighing myself in lbs only, because my brain can't compute that!

has anybody been watching Claire from Steps on living, re her battle with food. I swear she is my TWIN!

I missed the first episode but watched the one this week. No offence but she really annoyed me and I usually like her! Maybe she came across better in the 1st episode?

I just found it so weird she is so obssessed with her body ALL the time, but then did you see that meal she made for her and her hubby? The size of the meat portion was so huge, I couldnt eat that by itself let alone the stuff she put with it - huge potato chips, and then what did she serve as a side with it? Veg you might think - no cheesy covered potatoes! Who eats potatoes with chips?

It just really irritated me to see her moaning on but then doing stuff like that which made it even worse. It would be different if she was complaining about her weight and eating normally! Then you could understand her frustration.

Anyway rant over!... good luck with your donor! :)

It's so interesting you feel that way - because I didn't think much of her at all, until I actually saw the show and I like her more as a result of it! (I also thought she had cauliflower cheese as a side!)

I think she may have a bit of body dysmorphia (because of what she said about looking down and seeing herself differently) and also a self destruct button with regards to food, because I could understand every single thing she felt and it was SO weird to hear somebody talk in the way that matched with what was going on in MY head.

My doctor told me that (although this doesn't apply to claire) she sees TONS of women who are all TTC and who have been diagnosed with PCOS and have been told to lose weight - and even though we are told, we're so depressed about our weight, all we can do is eat. And I can only think that is what Claire is doing.

It's a truly vicious cycle and probably hard to understand unless you have been through it/on this vicious cycle. I'm going through my worst ever bought of it and at the heaviest I have ever been- but in the back of my head, I can't help thinking, one day something will just twig and I'll be able to sort it out. I don't seem able to stop it - I dont know why - not even when the one thing I want so much (a baby!) and several other diagnosis' I have that could be less painful) if I lose weight. And it seems SO stupid to not know how to do it (i.e STOP EATING SO MUCH!), but completely impossible right now.

I guess it's like an addiction for me, like others are addicted to meth/heroine/cocaine etc...

Thank you for the luck with the donor :)

SBDTA- I'm going to catch up with X Factor before an earlyish night!

Haha thats funny we were thinking the opposites of her before/after.

I think the thing about her looking down just perhaps came from looking at herself on the telly in the Opera star thing and thinking she looked bigger on there. But thats normal because the tv really does make people look bigger, when Ive seen tv stars in real life they really are much smaller. So she probably does look better when she looks down!

Maybe it was cauliflower cheese. But whichever it was it just looked like a huge plate of beige to me lol! :)

Infact I think I could understand it more if it was her snacking all the time, or being addicted to sugary stuff or something like that, but it was the portions she was dealing up that got me because I honestly dont know how she could physically eat it all without being sick. Because I can definitely see how you say getting out of a cycle can be so hard, so if she was trying to cut back on how much she ate over the day and trying to cut out junk I would have felt more sympathetic for her cause because that would be hard. Whereas with the portions all she had to do was not cook so much in the first place!

Anyway Im off to watch X factor too now! Hope you catch that egg! :)
