LOL at all the challenges to get OH's to BD - my OH moans too at the key time (depite claiming we didn't have enough before TTC).
Op went OK.
My notes say a laparoscopic diathermy of endometriosis.
It was done by keyhole so should be an easy ish recovery. I feel OK today, just tired & achy.
That's really good news. Did you know you had endometriosis? They've managed to find a reason for your failure to conceive and hopefully sorted it, so fingers crossed! Apparently lots of women conceive in the six months following a laparoscopy, even ones that are merely exploratory."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I didn't know - just knew from HSG that tubes were blocked.
I have had painful periods (worse since I've come off the pill), but probably only a day each month which I know isn't bad compared to what some women have.
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes.0 -
TTC40 - hope you're feeling ok, are you in any pain? hugs x0

Oo i am booking our holiday and have just realised if I dont fall this month, I will be ovulating on hols, on our lovely egypt cruise... def no problem with BDing then, we'll be at it every night if I have anything to do with it! :j
It would be quite romantic to conceive on a lovely cruise boat, quite like that idea(PMA!)
That would be lovely!! And I'm loving the Cleopatra idea...
I'm thinking about booking a nice hotel mini break for me and DH around OV time next cycle. I do think it would take the pressure off DH and we could just enjoy nice holiday BDing! Knowing my luck OV will be late or early, but hey, we could still enjoy a nice mini break!!
I feel bad for whinging so much about DH and the lack of BDing - he is a really great DH, and generally up for the whole TTC thing. But it just doesn't seem to get through his skull that we have a very time limited window of opportunity each month!0 -
TTC40 - hope you're feeling ok, are you in any pain? hugs x
Bit of headache - which feels like a detox headache (not much to eat/drink yesterday) so I'm trying to rink loads.
I ache/ feel delicate/stiff - having googled the procedure you can get 'tilted' so the surgeon can get to the important bits and obviously been 'man handled' during op.
That said, I'm not in pain and wasn't last night either.
Thanks for asking. As no-one in RL apart from OH knows about procedure it's nice to be asked about! I told a few colleagues I was have a gynae procedure but no reasons.0 -
hopefully fluffnutter is right and you'll be leaving us soon TTC40!
welcome to the newbies, hope your stay is short
i keep missing phone calls from the clearblue lady which was worrying me cos i wanted to go on it but now i'm not sure, as then i'd have to really concentrate on the days etc and having this month off has been lovveelly, had time to think about other life plans like holidays and housesso if i don't get on it it wasn't meant to be and we'll carry on with the relaxed approach
in not very :money:news, DH has convinced me that a company car wouldn't be a horrible thing. the cavalier is just a money pit, insurance for any other secondhand car would be expensive and cheap cars are always cheap for a reason.
i feel bad cos i feel other people will judge us for being frivolous, but this is really a good deal for us and we can easily afford it, in fact we can afford it and still put 1k+ in savings each month x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

TTC40 - glad you're not feeling too bad today. Here's to a speedy recovery x.
My top tip for post-lap is peppermint. Either tea (which is minging) or cordial (which is lovely). It helps get rid of the trapped carbon dioxide which can build up under your diaphragm and make your shoulders hurt.0 -

Yep, had them this morning. Its a drop again, but not quite as big as I had hoped for.:o
I get 2 results - 1 is a straight HCG level one for what is within that particular urine sample, and thats gone from 576 to 512 to 149.
But the 2nd result is the most accurate one, as that is done via the computer and eliminates the concentration of urine as a factor (I have to do it with FMU, but you can still get varying degrees of concentration obviously), and those results have gone 1.66 to 1.20 to 1.04 today. (Normal is less than 0.35)
There was 2 weeks between the first 2 results, but now there will be only 1 week between samples as I am now on weekly testing.
I had it in my head that I wanted it to say 0. something this week instead of 1. somethingDH is still trying to persuade me that its a good result, but I'm not on target anymore to get to 'normal' within the 8 week period (if I get to normal within 8 weeks I get to TTC quicker basically - could mean 3-4 months earlier which as you ladies know is a LONG TIME when you want a baby)
Results aren't predictable tho, or follow any pattern - it may go down really fast 1 week and not so much another week. So fingers crossed that next week I have a super big dip and get back within 'my target'. :A Lol, its so daft - I can't do a thing about it, or anything to change it at all. My control freak side would still like a little graph to follow tho, or a target, or to be able to control it or at least 'help' towards being able to get the results lower. Am trying to squash the control freak within me tho
I should just be grateful that its not rising, as if it rises I may need chemo:(:o

Another one here with a reluctant DH. He is trying, bless him, but I know he's stressed at work at the moment so often can't be persuaded mid-week. Oh well - it will happen eventually (hopefully).
Although FF has me at 6DPO, I think I'm actually only 1DPO but time will tell.
Hugs to those who need them xDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0
