Trying for a Baby Part 7

((tinks)) yuk needles!
I'm so glad it's not just me struggling to get OH to BD! Sunday was the first time in a week and I was amazed when he was up for it again last night!!!! Shame it's not at the right time. I didn't realise it was so common.
This cycle is now hugely long... AF vibes my way please. Don't think I'll ever be so pleased to see it!
I agree - I didn't know it was so common, and it's a big relief to find other people talking about it on here! I don't feel I can talk to friends in real life about it, it's not fair on DH, but then I imagine a number of my friends are probably having the same issues! (obviously not the ones who get pregnant as soon as they take their knickers off...:rotfl:)0 -
LOL at all the challenges to get OH's to BD - my OH moans too at the key time (depite claiming we didn't have enough before TTC).
Op went OK.
My notes say a laparoscopic diathermy of endometriosis.
It was done by keyhole so should be an easy ish recovery. I feel OK today, just tired & achy.0 -
Oh well, if we do get preggers it will be a girl as we BDed 2 days before ov..why does it have to be such a small time window and how on EARTH does anyone ever get pregnant! .
Just out of interest, What makes you think that? You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

I'm really glad I found this place as the first of my group of friends to be trying. It's nice to offload and find advice!

Just out of interest, What makes you think that?
ikkle - its the shettles method (for some reason I was thinking it was the staines method :rotfl: my brain so immature sometimes!)...the theory is that Y sperm are faster than x (girl) sperm so if you want a girl, you have sex 2-3 days before ov and abstain right before ovulation and if you want a boy, you hold off til the night before ovulation.
Also there is some stuff about depth of penetration and female orgasm favouring Y sperm - i guess if you were desperate to have a child of a certain sex you could do all this, but I will just be happy to be pregnant!! :TWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Oo i am booking our holiday and have just realised if I dont fall this month, I will be ovulating on hols, on our lovely egypt cruise... def no problem with BDing then, we'll be at it every night if I have anything to do with it! :j
It would be quite romantic to conceive on a lovely cruise boat, quite like that idea
