Birdie - is there enough to do the job if you just put it on OH?

Not sure, we do use a decent amount though :o Just never seem to get the opportunity to insert it. Quite the mood killer methinks, 'Hold that thought darling, I'm just going to pop some Concieve Plus up my hoo-ha!' :p

Remember that, if you're signed off, you're not insured. So if you do want to start work earlier, you'll need to go to the quack's and get signed back on again.

Can I just say that this is categorically, absolutely NOT TRUE!! It's like an urban myth that's doing the rounds.

A fit note is a recommendation by a doctor, to be reviewed by the employer. It is guidance only. The employee (in conjunction with the employer) makes the decision about when they feel well enough to return to work. A fit note has no implications on insurance whatsoever.

I use Concieve Plus but don't insert it, just pop it on OH :o First time we used it he shook the tube expecting it to be quite gloopy and it just shot out and went everywhere!

I usually put it inside me beforehand. DH doesn't know I use that sometimes:p

Thanks for clarifying - I didn't know that. My employer refused to let me back unless I'd been signed back on by the doctor so perhaps this is where I got the idea from.

Even though it's not about insurance then, if you're not welcome at your workplace during the time you've been signed off sick then it's the same effect really...?

Cheers fluffnutter. I think some employers are confused about their obligations and tend to err on the side of caution.

If your organisation are anything like mine, the HR dept are about as much use as a condom in a convent and tend to just spout c.rap.

Obviously employers can set their own rules to some extent, but legally they can't stop an employee working just because they've been issued with a fit note. There's technically no such thing as being signed back on, and a lot of GPs won't issue anything is asked. The ones that do issue something will usually charge the employer for doing so as there's not really any need for it.

Hi all, hope your all well?
Well nothing much happening here. AF only lasted 3 days here. Normal with coil lasted 5 days and last 2 after about the same. One thing have notied is the lack of EWCM, I remember back to a few years ago had loads. Know I need to cut down coffee and a few years ago I never drank coffee at all.
On other fronts, having teething probs at work which are not my issue. Feeling distrusted by other peoples niggles, which hurts because I am still the "new girl" I guess. Am just not one of those types of people that goes around trying to be everyone's best friend. Set me back in myself, but know my gut feeling that I have no problems and people using me as a source of their issues.
Got to think passed it, plus I don't need stress like that.
That's my rant of the month :D
    Good vibes
