I'm just delurking again to ask a question of anyone on here who may be able to set my mind straight!!
This is definitely a TMI thread so shield your eyes if you are of a sensitive nature!!!
Does anybody on here who suffers from PCOS (or those who dont even) suffer from horrendously heavy periods? When I was on the pill my bleeds were quite light but since my body has reverted back to normal and my cycles are ridiculously long, when I do bleed I feel like I am bleeding about 3 or 4 months worth in one go!
It's CD 2 today and I think this has been the worst of the last few months - I put a tampon in at approx 7.30 this morning, and then I changed it at about 11.30 but (tmi alert - this is really gross) when I removed it, there felt like there was a huge 'gush', blood ended up in the loo, some on the floor and mostly on my hand. When I wiped, the tissue was completely soaked in blood and looked quite clotted.
It looked like there had been a massacre!!
I am used to dealing with fairly heavy periods but this morning even grossed me out!!
Is this something which is normal with PCOS? I remember having really heavy periods as a teenager (and long cycles - obviously the PCOS but didnt realise at the time!) but I'm gutted that I've got them back again as I remember being quite distressed by it all when I was younger. Now every month just seems to be getting worse for me.
Thougn saying that, when I changed the tampon the next time, the flow seemed pretty normal to me so not sure what was going on this morning!!!!
Sorry to go into lots of horrid detail, just feel like getting it off my chest!!0 -
Squirrel, mine are very heavy, not had that before but I use super tampons/night towels for 2-3 days then it's a couple if days of brown spotting. I can't remember your history but mine do seem to be worse after the mc

squ1rells I had that, I remember walking to the bathroom with a tampon in and leaving big drops on the way there and then having to wash the floor because it was so heavy.
Mine would also last for 7 days with 5 days being incredibly heavy and 2 days being normal. My legs would shake and I would feel ill by the amount but be reassured for me it was perfectly normal (unfortunately)Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Birdie- ignore them, I know it's easier said than done. I sometimes feel that tick tock of the clock and I'm 27 too, well I am for another 2 days.
No plans for Father's Day here, my dad doesn't like celebrating things like that. He's only celebrated it once and that's because I was born on father's day. Plus I admit I may be being a bit selfish as my birthday falls on it again this year. Feeling a bit sad about it, as me and my mates were meant to be going out for the day, but as it's father's day and most of them have babies, obviously they are spending it with their baby's daddys. So we are meant to be having a bbq instead, except hubby has forgotten to go and get some gas, so that won't be happening either. Maybe afternoon tea will have to do.
Still can't budge this cold (although don't think it's just a cold, think there's a lovely slight chest infection in there too). Don't manage my way of losing weight, I've just managed to lose over a stone in a week through being ill.
Cant you buy the gas tomorrow? Looks like the weather is going to be nice at the weekend so would be good to have a bbq!
I didnt realise it was fathers day on Sunday until today! And have no idea what to get!!QQ I'm 12 weeks this week and just had my scan today. Everything was OK I was :j and  at the same time. EDD 28th December :eek::eek:. Good luck on Monday.

So long as you are not SSing:whistle
How can PMS be SSing?
Been to see my best friend tonight, we were laughing about PMS and how our DHs get it in the neck
To the ladies who said about losing weight, I need to do that too. BZ you're an inspiration! Do you follow any particular plan? Was thinking about joining a slimming club.
Got a busy few days coming up so hopefully that'll take my mind off things. Gutted I have PMS. But also mad at myself for getting my hopes up.
Hope everyone has a good weekend x0 -
Squirrel, I have always had fairly heavy periods. Stayed at my mum's last year and bled through my pjs and on to the sheet. I was mortified  That was with a pad not a tampon though x0

I was 78kg 3 months ago i am now 74.5kg. Instead of having 1500 calories which is a womans rda ( recomended daily intake) i make sure i either have 1000 or less you can have breakfast and skip dinner. Whenever you have salads etc make sure you have no sauce. I exercise 3 - 4 times a week to a dvd at home as i have been banned from all local gyms due to exercising without eating anything and then haveing 7 - 10 seizures. But if you dont like dvds go to legs bums and tums and boxercise at the gym. Swimming is also good as well as 30 mins on a mini trampoline on your day off
Dont go for fry foods till you reach a milestone as a treat. If you really cant go without dinner go for noodles that you make yourself as they are not calorific and they fill you up. Drink a 1.5l bottle of water everyday and you will see the weight drop off. Another tip is to create your own steamroom at home by running a bath with v littke cold water in and getting the bathroom so steamy you cant see and sit in the room for 30 mins if like me you dont feel heat sit in the bath and wash as you steam with a few drops of lavender aromatherapy oil in the bath. The steam also helps you to shed pounds. Good luck everyone who is trying to loose weight. One more thing if you get peckish and you dont want to eat drink 2 glasses of water or clean your teeth as it stops you from feeling hungry if you feel the need to snack cashew nuts or raw carrotts help0 -
You can dl calorie counting apps for phones which you input your meals and your exercise which show you how many calories youve burnt and what youve injested0
