It's also worth keeping an eye on your CM and when you start to see watery/egg white CM then you could start testing then.

What does watery/egg white CM indicate? Is it that ov is just around the corner?

Also, I just had a good old nosey at your OV chart :D Do you have long cycles? I am seeing the marked temp increase after ov - exciting! xx

 everybody. Hope you've all had a nice weekend. This weather is disgusting, isn't it?? Had my hair cut and coloured so am feeling pretty good! We started to get the spare room ready for decorating today, didn't get very far but I'm pleased we've made a bit of a start.

QQ - sending all the eggy vibes possible to you and hoping you OV very soon.

Tinks - hope you've had a FAB birthday weeekend!

Lilymay - I wouldn't get a new engagement ring personally, because DH chose it for me on his own. He didn't have much money at the time, so it's quite modest, but it's very special :o Wedding ring, on the other hand... I would really like a new one because I regret the one I chose!!! It was made to fit around my engagement ring (has a little dip in it to fit the diamond in) and I would like a ring that I can wear on its own if I want to. So if/when we have some spare cash I will probably look for a new one, but will always keep the original one. :heart2:

AFM not much to report ttc wise. Big temp dip today which made me feel very sad :( but then I started googling implantation dip and got my hopes up... oh the rollercoaster! I'm not feeling very hopeful about this cycle anymore, and I know the next week (second of the 2ww) will drag... Just want to hurry up and get on with the next try if I'm not. That said, I am honestly finding this easier than the stress of working out OV and timing BD!

Had an awkward moment yesterday when visiting my parents with another old school friend. She asked my mum 'when is your next grandchild due?' because she'd forgotten that my niece had already been born in March... My mum looked at me and said 'does she know something I don't know?' and smiled, and I had to tell her I definitely don't have any 'news' :(

Yes - it's fertile cervical fluid which means sperm can live in it for longer and it helps it to swim towards your eggy. It usually means OV is just around the corner, but sometimes your body gears up for OV and then it doesn't happen, which is why temping is quite useful too as the thermal shift confirms that OV has actually happened.

hi ladies, just delurking for a minute!
We have decided that mrh will go for the sperm retrieval procedure, and if the get any we will try ICSI, so we are saving like mad at the moment!

Hope it's okay to pop in and post here but I think you ladies might be the best to give me some advice. :o

OH and I are hoping to start TTC in the Summer but I'm petrified about having the implant out, AF has never been my friend and I have been on some form of contraceptive since I was 13 (pill up to 4 years ago) except a small gap when I realised that my natural cycle was still horrendous.
I know you are fertile again almost straight away with the implant coming out but I'm worried about knowing when to try and if I can tolerate letting my cycle go back to its natural rhythm before we start trying.
    Any advice?

I had implants in for 4 and a half years before TTC and didn't bleed at all on it. I was pretty stressed about letting my cycle go back to it's previous awfulness as well, but my periods have been light and regular since having the implant removed. It was 12 weeks before I had a period after removal though.

    Morning ladies,

Vibes and Gemmzie - I can't help with either of those, but I'm sure someone else will come along soon and give you an answer.

Just after some opinions from you ladies - Would you change your wedding and engagement rings after you'd got married? Both of mine were bought on a budget and I have seen a more expensive matching set I've fallen inlove with. I asked OH what he thought, and he said as long as I kept the first 2 he didn't mind. It's coming up to our anniversary so might be able to have them as a gift. What do you lot think?

CD12 for me today. I hope I ov before the end of this week!

lilymay-I have changed my wedding ring since I got married-I had a £12.99 argos job for the wedding, which I replaced as soon as I could afford it, then decided that I wanted my engagement ring reset so both the bands matched-my new wedding ring was flat and my e ring was a D shape. I've just recently had my e ring reset again as the diamond was sitting quite high I kept catching it on things, so had it made in to a rubover setting. It is the original diamond, but the ring has had 2 makeovers. Not very :money:, but hey ho, I love it! :D

Yes - I've had quite long cycles recently. When I came off the pill in October I had a couple of 30 day cycles which is fine, but then I had a 48 day one  Seem to be getting a bit shorter now (last one was 36, and looks like I'm on track for 35-37 days this month).

Great news MrsH. When do you think you will be able to do it?

I'm coming round to the idea of paying for the lap. Wont be for at least a month due to holidays and work stuff. I will try and push the NHS in the meantime but not hopeful.

Someone on a local forum has said that she had a much shorter wait at a hospital in a nearby town. Am thinking of going to GP and seeing if I can access through choose and book to see if I can get it done sooner if I go to a different hospital.

Does anyone know if I can find out waiting list times without actually having a choose and book option?

    Very exciting!

on the subject of the implant, I got my first AF 5 weeks after having it out and it looks like my cycle has gone back to normal straight away, but everyone is different so that might not be the case for you.
