Congratulations on your engagement Squ1rrel. Another one with a very short engagement too. We did ours in about 4 months, and although it wasn't the most lavish do ever, it was perfect for us.

Peak on the cbfm. So would wonderful if you would change me to 0DPO QQ.

Am completely knackered today, was the first day of cricket season and I am their tea lady. Although several of them are stuffed as they over ate.

Squ1rrel - congratulations!! Am a teeny bit jealous now as we also went to a National Trust place on saturday but I didn't get a proposal lol.

Hope you're having fun with the planning - have you set a date yet?

Congratulations on the engagement Squirrel! :j

I had a good weekend; really enjoyed seeing McFly on Saturday! Felt quite old though, there was 2 girls in the queue in front of us saying, 'Our ages added together comes to 27'... that's how old I'll be on my next birthday! :( I first went to see them in 2005, most of the girls there wouldn't have even been aware of them back then! Ah well, it was great even though we were standing and my back and feet were in agony by then end. I did get a little upset because when my friend booked the tickets last year I was worried about not being able to go as I thought I'd be a good few months PG, and it didn't help that for some reason my stomach was really bloated and sore (still is actually, how odd) so it was sticking out and I kept rubbing it, my friends kept looking at my tummy and giving each other knowing looks, like they were expecting me to tell them my 'happy news' but I had to admit that I was just having a fat and bloaty day :(

Having my 2nd session of reflexology tonight, I hope she can poke my ovaries into action! ;)

Welcome newbies/ oldies who've returned

2b - glad to hear the month off is a good break for you and your family! Hope you will keep popping in to say hello to us as well as joining the other thread :)

Had a temp rise this morning, and EWCM over the weekend so I am reaaaallllly hopeful that I OV'd yesterday as we managed to BD on Saturday morning and last night. I find it so hard not to get my hopes up (even about ovulation, let alone pregnancy!!). The temp rise was to exactly the same temperature as I had at 1DPO last month, so fingers crossed that was it (on CD23, means cycles are getting a tiny bit shorter).

Spent lots of time with friends with adorable babies and toddlers over the weekend, but think I need a break now before I become one of those women who steals babies from hospitals...

(Did I mention I really want a baby? :rotfl:)

Hope Monday is not too gloomy for you all - pouring with rain here, and being at work is dull... ((hugs)) to anybody who needs one or would like one - and hello  to anybody who is lurking but not posting, we know you are there :p

I know what you mean! OH has just sold his beloved car but for some reason decided we had to go to a garage on saturday to look at ones just like it that he can't afford. I told him that was going to make it worse and it was like me hanging round a maternity ward.

We decided we need new plans that are actually achievable so I downscaled my ambitions to some Vimto :rotfl:

Vesper - Our do was small too and, like you, perfect for us :)

Tea Lover -Boo! My proposal consisted of me saying "I really like that ring...." as we walked past it in a shop. He bought it there and then. Romantic huh?

Birdie - Excellent for McFly! I have a soft spot for the drummer after Strictly Come Dacning last year.

Vibes - Good Luck BD'ing. Finger crossed for ov

MrsJ - Hurray for temp and for shorter cycles! Do you use fertilityfriend? If so, would I possibly be able to look at your chart :S I'm still trying to work out how to use the site, let alone learn how temp's and ovulation work!

My line on ov stick was dark again this morning, almost as dark as the control line. Maybe I ov early in my cycles? :D

Hi lilymay - this is my chart on fertility friend

    My Ovulation Chart

I have never really got on with the OV sticks - but I think I'm not following the instructions to the letter. So I find temping and checking CM easier.

    Morning ladies :)

    Congratulations Squirrel :j

Fingers crossed you can slip under the GP radar TTC40. I assume you have no other reasons why you shouldn't conceive? So hopefully you'll be in with a good chance once those tubes are unblocked

Fertility friend seems to think I will ov tomorrow, but I'm not convinced as no sign of any ewcm. And DH has man flu at the moment, so no chance of any bedroom action later anyway :o

I bumped into the partner of my friend who lost the baby at the weekend. I hadn't realised just how far along she was - 19 weeks :(

I need to lose some weight (ideally before I get pregnant). When I had my coil out, the nurse weighed me and commented that I'd put weight on :o I've got some Paul McKenna "I can make you thin" CDs and they do seem to be having an effect on how much I eat, but I need to remember to listen to them every few days. In fact, I really need to listen to it now as I made fairy cakes with DS yesterday and I can hear them calling to me from the kitchen :rotfl:

Thanks for the messages of support I've received, ladies.

I've just popped on to tell you my MIL passed away yesterday morning, peacefully in the end, in her sleep. I can't wax lyrical, because it doesn't seem real yet, but at least I know we'll meet again, and she'll have no more pain, sadness, sickness, tears, injustice.... :A that'll have to do for now :(

I'm not trying to bring the thread down, I know I've not posted on a while, but it felt right to tell you guys, after everything that's been said about it on here previously. :o

Bringing it back on topic: My ttc journey has stalled, to some degree, as a result - I had to cancel my HSG that was booked for last week, which very likely means I won't get it done before the FS appointment in May. I also think it's probably right to grieve for a bit, and focus on DH's wellbeing, before turning up the pressure cooker with FS stuff...

I wish you ladies well in your TTC journeys, and will be lurking from time to time. ;)
