Congratulations Squ1rrel5!!!! What lovely news. QQ, after my mix up at the end of last week, today I am officially CD1. AF arrived this morning :-(((( A few days late so I was bound to get a tiny bit hopeful. A good excuse for much more BDing this next month. :-)))) X

hello, I'm new on this thread.
I'm almost 32 and I have PCOS, my periods have always been crazy: I get one once in 3-4 months and then it's painful, it doesn't stop for week (sometimes I have to get a prescription to take something to make it stop). I haven't taken any precautions and nothing happened in the last year so I went to the GP to ask for a referral to get some treatment.
The GP doesn't want to send me until I try for 2 years!!! I am really annoyed as if I get my period only 3 times a year I probably ovulate 3 times a year or not even that. It's really silly to wait by the rules and loose time when I want some treatment to try to regulate my periods and at least have a chance each month
I would like to try some naturist treatments or acupuncture, I'm going to do some online research to see what to take.

you could try lunaception - aida on this board got her bfp when doing it, and it cant do any harm?

If you go back a few pages, Aida explains how to do it. or you could do a google search.

Ive also been reading about pcos and low gi diet being good.

And I would try a different gp - 2 years!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'll try to go back to the GP (they are several doctors in the surgery, I'll go to a different one and than even change GP if this surgery has this rules). I'm not too much overweight (I'm a size 10, maybe 12, I could do with losing a few kilos, but this shouldn't be the reason for my PCOS , I had PCOS and irregular periods even when I was a size 8).
Although lunaconception sounds interesting I can't do it: I live in a rented studio flat and I can't make total darkness (I can't hang curtains or anything, just the thin blinds that were here already)
I want to try Agnus Castus but I don't know when to start. I had my period for a month now, I have been to the GP as I am starting to feel bad after bleeding for a month and I was given tranexamic acid. I'll wait until my period stips (hopefully) and start agnus.
Also the GP gave me some blood test to do and some of them are in day 21 of the cycle ... well my next cycle will probably be in 4 months now :(( it's really pointless but they just stick to the rules without actually thinking.

squirrel - congratulations!! :j That's great news, and what a lovely proposal. We had a short engagement (four and a half months) and it was enough time to plan a lovely wedding which we all really enjoyed! It will be a great distraction from ttc too :)

Welcome to all newbies I haven't said hello to yet!

AFM still waiting for OV, am on CD23 now, some EWCM today and yesterday so hoping it will happen soon! I'm definitely going to try lunaception properly next cycle. I've been reading an interesting blog about it http://www.lunaceptionjourney.blogspot.co.uk/
(Although ideally I'll get a BFP this month of course and won't need to think about it next time... but just in case.... I'm bored of long cycles!)

((hugs)) to all those in need - hope you lovely ladies have had a good weekend xx

 hi! Hope all well and you are still enjoying new job, and hope that the month's break from ttc is relaxing for you. Will you be trying again next month?

Thanks mrsj28 and everyone else who said hi!

Yep, hopefully trying next month - I don't know - it may up being around the time MIL visits from the US, which will make things impossible!

This month has been a really nice month off for me so far and is allowing me to focus on my relationship with DS(4) - which if I am honest, I think has been suffering through the stress of TTC.

My 12 months of trying is upon me, so I am going to head over to the other thread to.

    Hope everyone is BD lots!

Checked medical insurance today and we are not covered.

Spoke with FS who has said he will put me on NHS wait list. If he asked GP for permission he wouldn't get it - so we have to hope I don't get 'found out'.

Wait list is about 4 months.

Due to a holiday in May, probably wouldn't have private treatment for 6 weeks anyway - so not that much longer.

OH would be OK with paying for private treatment sooner.

It's such a dilemma as there are no guarantees.

TTC - fingers crossed you slip under the Gp radar :)

The lines on my ov sticks have almost disappeared again :( i have madr sure the wee i use is concentrated. Me no understandy!

I've really got back into my running again - did 4 miles before and could (and should) have carried on. Only problem is a came home and ate a huge piece of my apple tart. Stupid woman! I tried to upload a pic btw, couldn't make it work.

Hi newbies :) I'm sorry i can't remember your name, but 2 years before a referral? How daft. I hope you manage to find a more understanding GP.

And re weddings; we had a short engagment too. About 5 months. We decided to get married after DD died and it was such a great focus for me. Although i was 20 weeks when the date came and i'd had to get my dress altered quite significantly! Oops!
