Hello girls:wave:
Off to the FS tomorrow to check if my hormones are good enough for the egg transfer this cycle
codemonkey, sorry to hear you are having a break:(
Hope your DH will wake up soon:o
ChocolateIsLife, how was your appt?
TeamLowe, good luck with the fertility tests:)
Nothing wrong with cute young man for a doctor:p
Good luck with withholding sugar until ov:o
Tinkwings, free bunting huh:think:
olliesmummy, welcome to the thread:wave:
I've added you to the list on the first page, let me know if you'd like to add your age:)
As for ICs, they are less sensitive than superdrug ones, and only gives super faint lines, but cheap:o If you get some sort of a line on ICs, then go on the superdrug/FRER, then onto CB:)
claire, low GI diet is the best one for PCOS:cool:
lilymay, you can get +hpt from around 7DPO at the earliest, but I'd recommend testing from 14DPO:cool:
tattoo, no SSing
apple*pie, welcome:wave:
Do you get any ov signs like ewcm? You could get something like IC OPKs from amazon if your cycles are on the irregular/longer side:o
Another way is to temp:cool:
claretsgirl, fingers crossed for Saturday:)
skintchick and lilymay massive hugs for AF:(
Nephthys, anything shorter than 10 day LP can be an issue.
Fingers crossed it's not AF:o
mrsj28, I agree with getting babies at Tescos, but realistically, I'd assume it's a mail order service as it needs our DNA:D
Bigbird, (((hugs))) for your mc friend:(
zcrat, do you think you've ov'd?
lilymay, do you think perhaps you should wait a bit and see how it goes on your job before TTC?0 -
QQ - Possibly. Infact, yes.
But I have never been one for doing the sensible thing
Edit: My clearblue digis have just arrivedBoo.

Lilymay - Hugs for CD1. Is it a new company as well as just a new job? Even if you got pg straight away they'd have you for 8 or so months wouldn't they? Everyone's different but I think i'd have to prioritise ttc over a job. But then I work for my Mum and Dad and my husband so its a bit easier to do! And, they can be unimpressed but what can they actually do.
QQ - CBFM hasn't picked up an OV and it has every month previous. But there was one morning where I didn't use FMU around normal ov time so guess I could have done then. I haven't had any CM to speak of till yesterday and today when it could be described as cloudy EWCM if that makes sense?! I don't get much anyway so can never really judge from that tbh.
ETA - I see I'm different in opinions to job than QQ!! So much depends on age/career stage too I guess.0 -
mmmm yummy Colin Firth. I have no idea what it is about him but there is defintely something. He could be a gentleman to me anyday.
Think I was right OV heading this way. The second line on my ov sticks are getting much darker, but still a low on cbfm. Mmmm maybe everyone's body's are going haywire, as it seems several of us are having the same problems.
Ah well may treat myself to a box of choccies, jimmy jammies and a good film tonight, now that OBEM has finished.
Double the request for the baby mail service. I get enough baby stuff through the post (someone signed OH up as a wedding joke- so we keep getting baby things), currently it's weening stuff. So why can't I get a baby through the post. Wouldn't want to go to a supermarket, we don't have nice ones around here, the poshest is probably the co-op.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
See, QQ, i have an image of us ladies squatting on the conveyor belt, with the baby being inserted by the machine that goes 'beep'...
and having a nice young doctor is not a problem for normal things, but when i have to discuss my spots, fat, whiskers and greasy hair i'd rather it wasn't a nice young doctor! lol
Lilymay, for me it really would depend on the job and how much there is to learn- 8 months isn't really that long, especially if it's not full time x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Thanks for the advice ladies.
The job is FT, and its pretty intense. It's a graduate scheme, so is not designed for people to be running off and having babies shortly after starting. There is a 5 month training period after which I will be qualified. That said, I am more than capable of doing the job (and doing it well) and I wouldn't be giving it up to become a SAHM if I have anymore children so they will get their money's worth out of me.
The (most) sensible option would be to give it 2 or 3 years, get settled, then TTC again. But by that time, il be closer to 30 than I am now and to be honest, I just don't want to wait. I know from experience that life can be very unpredictable and you really never know what is just around the corner. I know a lot of people who wished they had had children sooner - like my parents (46 when I was born) and SIL (40 when first baby arrived) - and I don't want to be one of them.
OH and I have discussed it at length and he wants a bigger family as much as I do, so I think we are just going to carry on as we are and TTC.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
just de-lurking to say lilymay, I think you have your head screwed on right and things have a way of working themselves out, so if you were to get pg straight away, it wouldn't be the end of the world so don't let anyone make you think that - especially not the arrival of Aunt Flo.
We fully thought it would take at least 6 months to try and conceive and caught in the 2nd month meaning I am now finishing a teacher training course in June 7 months pregnant. Yes, it's not ideal and no, I won't be established in a job when baby comes which is a bit of a nightmare but I have gone out and got myself a teaching job for one day a week when baby is here and fingers crossed, it will all work out.
graduate schemes are designed to be tough, but only for people like me who are straight out of uni. As you've mentioned in other posts, your life experience far outweighs the other new colleagues and being qualified in 5 months could only be a bonus if you were og next cycle.
Remember, no-one can discriminate against you legally for wanting to continue your family. Now get some goodl chocoloate/strawberries in you (if you're not a chocolate fiend like me!) and well done for being so positive and getting this amazing opportunity!
EDIT: QQ, I hope things go well this cycle and I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a full board clear out soon!
