How can it go green? TMI!
Hahahahaha, I dunno. It just did. My bruises always do, especially the bad ones. Doesn't everyone's? Or is this another weird thing about me? :rotfl:
And it's OK. It's not green anymore! I shan't be getting on any inflatable obstacle courses anytime soon either. That's when it happened. A grown man fell on my finger!!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Congratulations mlbarret!!!
I'll update the list & post the customary BFP post tomorrow, so that not to spoil it for everyone:j0 -
Can't this please just be a nice supportive place.
I actually have no problem with that. I post most days, and usually either to give someone virtual hugs or to signpost them in a direction of hopefully useful information, or to join in the banter.
I have never posted that someone should leave the thread in any shape or form, and it is just a lie that I have done so. I said in my post last night the only occasions that I have ever in any way vented on this thread and they are the truth.
Two or three other posters very recently made the comments about posters with quick BFPs. I did not share those opinions and did not join in with them, though I understand why those posters who made the comments feel the way they do and I am sorry they are hurting so much. But it is a bare faced lie that I said those posters with quick BFPs should not post, or chased them from the thread.
I have had two miscarriages, as have a number of women on the thread. I have tried to support them and we do have something in common. I have also tried to support newly pregnant women genuinely discussing fears of loss. I have never said that having a loss makes you more worthy of being on the thread, or chased people away for not having had one. The only "upset" relating to miscarriage was the one I discussed last night. The comment which was made by that poster, though intended to be a joke, remains one of the most hurtful and cruel comments I have ever read about miscarriage however.
I'm not aware that I've ever criticised anyone for not posting often enough, other than maybe to say that I don't know someone's back story if responding to a post by an infrequent poster.
I did signpost a newly pregnant poster to the less than 12 weeks thread for information, in the same way that last week I signposted someone who asked a computer question on the health thread over the the techie board, because she would get more relevant information then. Interestingly quite a few regular posters then posted that this was the right thing to do, or "liked" posts made by others than me suggesting this was the right thing to do.
However, because someone who dislikes me has chosen to tell outright lies that I have controlled the thread and banished people, whilst not ever commenting on those who have in fact posted the very things which she objects to, it is apparently believed that because it is has been said, then it is true. So with no regret at all, I'll go because if you all believe on no evidence that what has been said is true, and haven't found any of the chat, information, or sharing of experiences helpful, then there is no common ground for me to share here.
I would like though if they don't mind, for some of my friends on the thread who have been through similar issues (hopefully they know who they are) to PM me when they get their BFPs as I am still hoping to read of them, and massive good luck to QQ for the transfer next month, which I have good feelings about.0 -

Inflatable obstacle course at your age?:rotfl:0 -
I had a couple of those green finger/toe infections when I was a kid TeamLowe, so grim! Who knew that the body could even turn that colour?! :rotfl:
Congratulations mlbarrett! :j It's about time we had another BFP, I hope the second half of the month brings many moreOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
mlbarratt - congratulations!!!
(where is the dancing banana smilie when you need it!!) :j0 -
Wow, loads going on here over the last few days.
Firstly, big congrats to MLB - how exciting.
Marie - I think that would be a lovely time to conceive and I really hope it happens for you soon.
Metranil Vavin - I'm with you on the being too lazy thing and we don't even have kids as an excuse yet! God knows how we'll manage a 2nd if we're lucky enough to get a first!
Nicki - I for one have had many extremely supportive and informative posts from you. I hope you don't feel you have to go. If you still do go, please come back and tell us when you get your BFP. The thread will be a poorer place without your knowledge.
Dundeediva - sorry you feel like that too.
I lot of the time this thread feels like a real community in my head. I have little imaginary pictures of you all - QQ for example is always eating Quavers in my head, TeamLowe is always dressed in sports kit and MrsJ28 is always drinking J20's! I have had loads of support on here form everybody, I've never had a negative comment and I do hope I've never made one back. Where else can we go to have these kind of conversations?
So back to normal stuff..
AFM, still managing every 2 days which for OH and I is a bit of a record. Still on low on CBFM so looks like the tooth removal has shocked my ov'ing into being a bit later.
Totally off topic but my tooth still really really hurts. I'm still on quite a lot of painkillers (glad I read the instructions for co codemol properly, it says not to take if you're trying to get pg) so I rang the dentist who did the extraction. Nurse said if it hurts that much then go back to see my dentist. Kind of feel I should but on the other hand I also feel like I'm being a bit of a wimp and should man up with the pain!0 -
Congratulations MLBarrett, but give us a picture when you can!
i LOVE pictures of positive pregnancy tests, no idea why! lol x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

I think this maybe where I'm going wrong. I'm trying to cut down the amount of co-codamol but it's not working, if anything I'm taking more of them than a few months ago. Can't help thinking we won't get a BFP unless I can stop taking them.
Big hugs for your tooth, hope the pain beggars off v soon.0 -
