I did consider the implant but heard nothing but horror stories from friends.

With any form of contraception it's important to remember that everyone is different. The fact that friends had bad experiences does not mean that you would.

I had the implant for 2.5 years. I would probably use it again. But then again I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because the implant was the right choice for my body - wouldn't necessarily be for someone else.

Sarare i wouldn't worry about it too much, every lady was made to birth babies come hell or high water but that's easy for me to say as i don't have that problem.
maybe you could have a chat with your gp about your fears regarding your size and if there's anything that putting on weight (muscle not fat) would help with?

Also any woman could end up needing a cesearean so i'd talk through your fears about that anyway and see if they can be assuaged in any way x x

Bigzippy - sorry to hear the latest news re: MIL. Thinking of you and your OH.

QQ - I'm now no longer CD 50 something. Not really sure what CD I'm really on but I'll go for CD3. Shoudln't really be that difficult to decide should it :rotfl:

I see there has been a little bit of trouble again. I'm not getting involved in the cause of it but would like to say to those thinking of leaving (either those that were somehow involved or those that are new and have been put off) DON'T DO IT :D. Things might get heated once in a blue moon but for the vast majority of the time this thread is a brilliant source of knowledge, support and laughter and it would be a shame to miss out x x x

I'm only size 6 so also worry about giving birth because my hips are so narrow :( Friends think I'll need a caesarian and that doesn't help my fears.

I know every woman's different but my sis and one of my friends are both teeny tiny and it didn't cause them any issues when pg or giving birth. Easier said than done I realise but try not to worry too much. None of us know's how labour will go till we get there.

    Take care x.

Nicki - I have found your posts helpful and supportive during my time here and note that you are always one of the first to respond if someone asks a question - I would be sad to see you go and hope you stay on this thread.

DundeeDiva - sorry that you too feel you should go, I have been ttc since Oct 2009 although I did have a break from this thread last year when I was planning my wedding as it all got a bit much. I am sorry that you felt that your posts were ignored and I have certainly never ignored anyone posts knowingly but sometimes the thread moves fast and posts get missed. Also I post on my IPhone during the day, evening and weekends - using the computed only during lunchtimes mainly so it means I can't easily scan back to see if I have missed a post. What I am trying to say in a rambling way is don't go!

The thread is of course open to all but it goes without saying that those who post more often are more easily recognised than other users who may not post so often but that doesn't mean that anyone should feel excluded or unwelcome. I am genuinely happy for anyone who gets their BFP whether after 1 month of ttc or 1 year or longer. That does not mean that at the same time as I am happy for them I am not feeling jealous that it is not me with the BFP.

TTC is an emotional subject and as MV has said there are times when there are fall outs on the thread but no-one should feel like they are no welcome as a result.

MLBarrett - huge congrats on the BFP :j it did look like a positive from the ic's you posted but always good to hear you got a positive result from a digi. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

In terms of what you can and can't take during ttc - I always that you could not take ibrupeon or any other anti-inflammatory during the 2ww.
  • Sarare just to add to others' posts, there's a woman I work with who is a size 6 also and she had her third baby last month - all delivered naturally.

Thank you to you and others.Does make me feel a bit better :) Think I may make an appointment with my doctor for a chat to relax me about those issues a bit seems a good idea.

    I'm getting excited now!

This is a thread for everyone, and sometimes blow ups happen as in real life, but let's draw a line here now, and continue our TTC quest together:)
