    Morning ladies,

zcrat - hope it goes ok with the dentist. Sure you'll feel better once it's over and out of the way.

mlbarrett - definitely looks like a BFP to me! Big hugs to you x.

definitelyblonde - hope everything's ok and you've managed to get things checked out. Take care xx.

aida - glad you had a lovely holiday. There should definitely be more hols and less work imo.

rumfeeble - the shoes sound lovely!

lilymay - I know what you mean about having a wobble. OH and I have been TTC for ages and have an appt with a FS in a few weeks, but yesterday I had a complete panic that there's no space in our house and it wasn't a good idea. I think it's natural, show's that we're all going into this with our eyes open.

Back at work today after the long weekend and feel really fed up already. Am definitely ready for maternity leave - just a shame there's no pg to warrant it!

Ok ladies so I am back from my scan and yes, I have pcos. :( So now I need to deal with that somehow....

But as well as that I am also worried that I have something else seriously wrong...
The doctor asked me about the regularity of my periods and if I had any discomfort etc which I took to be absolutely normal questions when looking for pcos, but then he asked me if I'd noticed any unusual growth in the lower half of my body (tummy, thighs etc) in the last year - I said no, nothing... I have been overweight for some time and have struggled for the last few years to lose any significant amount of weight but I've not noticed anything unusual...
He then asked me if my doc had sent me for blood tests which I said yes, a few different ones and they all came back normal. He said my ovaries were showing all the signs of PCOS but he wanted me to have one more blood test - but didnt say what, just flippantly said 'oh it's nothing to worry about (which in my head means that there is...) so now I'm thinking the blood test is for something infinitely more serious because of the previous question...

He then launched into a speech about how he has seen super skinny 16/17 year old girls with PCOS go onto have 2 or 3 babies - !!!!!!!! I am an overweight 32 year old, how does that help!!!!

Thankfully I took the morning off work - but not relishing the thought of going back in later...if it's pcos I know that I can deal with that but now I'm just left worrying that its something more....

I dont even know what to do now, he mentioned something about 'in a weeks time', but didnt really say much more..does that mean I will get another appointment or do I have to call my doctor and ask to see them to find out what is going on? He just didnt make anything very clear at all - and I feel stupid for not clarifying what I need to do next.

Fluffnutter, I was told 90% survives the thawing and at my age 40% get pg...

Those are great odds. Fingers crossed x.

Squirrel5 - could you ring the surgery today and speak to the doctor for clarification? I'd much rather know what stuff was for and I'm sure he'd be able to put your mind at rest.

If it helps - I have a 35 year old, very overweight friend with PCOS who's just got pg - see there's happy stories for some of us oldies!

    COMP - hugs for CD1

Back from the dentist. It wasn't so bad after all. Injection is the worst bit. Just the crack as the dentist got it out! But I can't feel anything at the moment cos of the anaesthetic so I'm not looking - forwards to when that wears off. I kept telling myself throughout this won't be anything like as bad as giving birth so man up and deal with it. Thought I'd done quite well till the dentist said at the end " you can stop shaking now!!"

    Good morning:wave:

TeamLowe, have you seen a doctor? They could prescribe things like provera to induce AF?
DefinitelyBlonde, (((hugs))), have you been to the doctors?
Runfeeble, I'm one of those buy something for myself when AF arrives brigade too:beer:
Aida, glad you had a nice time in Cornwall:)
I agree, 2012 baby is so last year:o
zcrat, glad the dentist appt went well, :rotfl: at stop shaking bit:D
COMP, hugs for AF, but it's still early days yet:o
    smiley_hug.gif
    Squ1rrels, (((hugs))). No-one dies from PCOS so don't worry:p
The growth he may have been talking about could be excess hair?
He may have sent for a pcos blood test to check if your hormones are PCOSy.

I have PCO but not S because of no excess hair/oily skin/spots/overweight/hormone probs. There are things like metformin to take care of those:)
