COMP, hugs for AF, but it's still early days yet:o.

I know - I'm not too disheartened as it's only our first month. I've deliberately been a little quieter as I am aware that I'm relative newbie to the thread.

The main drawback to CD1 arriving today is that today is WW weigh in day, so I can't even take comfort in a bit of chocolate!

Totally unrelated to TTC but I am really :mad: atm. Just had an argument with a stupid bloke in the office - wasn't even work related! For some reason (literally no idea why, we were supposed to be talking about forklifts) he started go on about how he wouldn't watch Kenny Evrett once he found out he was gay. Then he said something about it was better when he was younger as it was illegal! I told him he could think whatever bigoted thoughts he wanted but not to ever say them in the office again as it was completely unacceptable.

    What a kn*b!

    Ok, rant over.

See, that would have been a much better answer! :rotfl:

Just one more disadvantage of working for a very male-dominated engineering company with an old workforce.... the place really is full of dinosaurs.

COMP - I like the idea of having some chocolate waiting for after the weigh-in. Hugs for CD1.

QQ, i'm going next week, just hope its not the horrible man doctor i had last time as i might punch him, i'm hoping now they'll refer me back to the gynae but i'd settle with provera as i've had it before. and noristhisterone which was HORRIBLE, far too much progesterone in that lol

Squirrels, i'm sorry to hear you have PCOS but please don't let it get you down there is soooo much that can be done, and you'll learn so much about how your body works, it really is quite fascinating! lol
I found a lot out just by googling (and for once there's nothing scary) so i'll just say google PCOS but make sure you look at hyperinsulinemia too, which is so tightly interwoven with PCOS no one yet knows which one causes the other.
The best treatment for PCOS is in your hands, although it will be hard, as losing just 10% of your bodyweight reduces the effects of PCOS dramatically. have a look at the low gi diet, i've found it really easy to follow as it's quite sensbile, mainly lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and meat x x

Speaking of which, i've just googled the Burgen Soya and Linseed bread and it has a gi value of 36! much lower than wholegrain at mid 50s :) another switch that was easy to make

oh and i've got the kindle app on my phone so i downloaded the collins gem low gi dictionary so i always have it with me and the traffic light system is so easy to use :)

How can I not be a relative newbie, if this is my first AF since TTC :p

Just had a quick glance at the last page and, OMG I have had my fill of homophobic morons the last few days too.

I met up with a friend of mine on Friday and was really looking forward to a good catch up as I havn't seen him for years. Anyway, it turns out he is getting married in September and his bride to be is a hardcore Christian. Not a problem you might think, but this woman has turned my very liberal, kind and loving friend into a gay hating, anti civil-partnership, totally unreasonable idiot.
I have since found out I'm not the only one to have noticed the change.

It's just such a shame. He was such a lovely bloke *sigh*

I was silly and did a test this morning. I knew it would be negative- AF isn't due until 19th. I still felt a bit sad though :(
