I used the ones of ebay and they pinpointed ovulation for me each time however they never went as dark as they were meant to. If I had a light line then I took that as OV and my chart confirmed it shortly after. (as did both pregnancies)

I didn't necessarily follow all the instructions correctly though with the holding of the pee and resting etc so that may be why they never went as dark as the control line.

I've used the ones from amazon from the front page I think and they've been brilliant, even with my erratic ovulating (PCOS) :)

The ones I was looking at on ebay are the same ones that are on amazon, don't want to buy any just yet. I'm going to call the hospital tomorrw and chase up my results!

Hi Ladies, glad you MILs operation went well QQ.

I am on CD30 in a 30 day cycle, or at least that is what i have seemed to have ended up with. I am SS like nobodies buisiness and even took a test today BFN, so now just waiting. I know i am not out, but feel a bit silly for testing. Oh but to let you ladies know that Boots are doing buy one get one half price on Clearblue, Boots and First Response, so i have got 4 Boots tests for £7. I know the e-bay ones are cheaper, but I wanted to test again in a couple of days and so got them today as it is my day off.

Anyway back to lurk, take care and wishing lots of BFPs :)

IC's are horrid. I am going to resolve to never buy any again! I keep thinking if I turn it towards the light I can see a line, but I know it's my brain playing tricks on me :(

    ((codemonkey - hugs)))

I've been meaning to ask a question. The fertility specialist we saw at London's leading fertility clinic, told me that taking your BBT was completely unreliable.

I'm not entirely sure I believe him on this (or want to). Has anybody else heard this - Nicki in particular, - I'm hoping you have something scientific to throw my way or you've heard differently from a consultant you've seen?

I have been hoping it has been right as it has shown I have been ovulating even with the PCOS which means I shouldn't NEED clomid, right ? Because I was considering taking soy again next month.

I found that if i turned the test over and held it up to the light the line was visable on a true positive and not on a negative. So even if I thought i could see one on the front I would always check from the back, evaps arent strong enough in colour to show through.

    hth :)
