Trying for a Baby Part 7

don't know if it helps at all but I used ic every few days or so after both mc to see when the hcg had left my system (took 4 weeks the first time and 2 weeks the second so I've done a LOT). My experience is that a line, even a very faint one is unmistakably there (and this was when I was in the odd situation of WANTING a negative). I guess some batches will be less reliable than others but I'd say if you're in doubt as to whether you've got a line it's probably negative. Admittedly, I've never had anything that wasn't clear positive or clear negative (no ribena thumbs for me!) so maybe you have a duff batch? Not to say you won't get a positive soon though, it could well be just a bit early0

QQ - Good Luck to MIL today xxx
Hugs to codemonkey :A
Day off today with DD2 with a bugIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Ok, just got a call from my gp's receptionist about my blood tests. seems the doctor wants to talk to me about results but its 'nothing urgent'. What does that mean? Does that mean they're clear or something is off but i'm not going to die before Monday?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Codemonkey - how annoying! It's horrible not knowing until you can see the doctor. I know it's hard but try not to worry.0

Hi 2ba. There are definitely two schools of thought on how reliable BBT is. There can certainly be issues if you are not rigorous with your timing and noting any factors which might affect the accuracy of your chart, but you would not expect to see the same pattern emerging each month in that case. Some doctors, eg this one, completely discount it as a diagnostic tool

When I first saw a FS about 16 years ago, he did think there was some value in it. I'm not sure whether the advice would be the same today though. But combined with positive OPKs, a day 21 blood test and perhaps an ultrasound, it should be definitive?0 -
So at the risk of sounding crazy I have a confession to make....
I bought a baby sleep suit yesterday and I've left it hanging out in our bedroom.
Someone reassure me that they've done the same thing and I'm not loopy0 -

Good morning:wave:
MIL's op went well, she still has oxygen mask thing and looks pretty bad, but the doctor said the op was a success, so fingers crossed for that:o
Birdie, yay for perfect vision!:j
Hope your left eye is better today:cool:
And hope it's not CD1:(
Aida, 'mother of all ewcms'?:rotfl:
I'd BD asap:cool:
Secretdebts, (((hugs))). It's always good to have ewcm though, ttc or not:o
codemonkey, you are not out yet until the witch shows (((hugs))).
As for the test results, relax, you are not going to die at least until Monday:p
2ba3c, my first FS was like yours, never trusted BBT charts. He did have a lookie every time I brought it though.
There's a lot a variables that can affect it. And getting high temps on luteal does not necessarily mean you ov'd.
fannyanna, I don't have any baby stuff, but I've seriously lurked baby shops:o0
