Only 10 DPO? I thought it was 11 or 12. That makes me feel slightly more hopeful. This is why I needed you back QQ - it seems I can't even count days without help!

    Welcome back. :j

Welcome back QQ - I really don't know how you manage to stay on top of all of this! Hope things with MiL are ok x
  • Hello ladies,

Hope you are all having nice Saturdays? Fingers crossed time2deal, I had a negative test at 13dpo a day or two before my bfp, thought that was me out!

QQ - glad MIL decided to go ahead with the operation, you are a very kind daughter in law to her. (((( hugs )))) for CD1 :(

Massive congrats 2B on the job - delighted for you :D fingers crossed it turned out to be a lucky day with the conception as well!

We planted some flowers for our baby today, some lovely white ones that are out now and and some more colourful ones that will bloom in a month or two. We bought a tiny white bird ornament and put it in with the flowers. It made me feel sad but peaceful at the same time, i think when the flowers come out it might inspire some hope in us.

    Littlezee, amputate?
Yep, but sadly that's no longer an option either. The anaesthetist thinks the anaesthetic alone could kill her, never mind the high risk operation too. She wants to go home and "put her affairs in order", but I don't think that's possible either, unless she's going to pay for 2 nurses to be there round the clock, which just isn't affordable :(

Welcome back, btw, and nice work with your mil. I know how hard it can be to have those conversations where you understood the situation better and end up having to retell the same upsetting news  don't feel guilty about it, there's no point, she needed to know, and she obviously trusts you, so you were probably the best person to tell her anyway. :)

If I'm right about being 13dpo then these cramps are right on time... I may test tomorrow, if only to manage my expectations before af arrives, but I don't think I can cope with another bfn on Mothers' Day :(:o

    to all :o

    Hello all

Thanks for the lovely congrats re the job. Just trying to finalise child care etc to make sure we can actually make it work.

LM, that sounds really lovely - I would have loved to have done something similar. I hope it brought you some peace. x

BZ - hoping and praying for you that this is your time.

QQ - so sorry you are having to deal with this xx

zcrat - how did the soft furnishing buying go, are you and DH still speaking?!

time2deal ((hugs for feeling down)) - the cbfm for me was a geeky thing to look forward to, I was super excited to get to play with it!

TeamLowe - he is completely doing it out of the goodness of his heart... he wont even be having any involvement. Seriously, I am in awe of the wonderous thing he is doing. I dont even know how to thank him for the time and effort he has given us so far. Thank you for your kind words too xx

Vesper ((more hugs for bad day)) - Vent away, I find this place so cathartic, just writing it down can sort my head sometimes. Hope it works for you too.

((hugs for everyone else who needs or wants them, and a pat on the shoulder, or pinch on the bum for those who don't!!))

Can I ask a bit of advice/a question....

According to my chart, I think I ovulated yesterday as my temp has rised today, HOWEVER, I seem to only have EWCM today - which is weird, right?

    Love,
2b - who has a belly full of curry. Nom.

Well I can't say that today has got better at all. Have managed to get so tied up in my head, forgot to do the cbfm over the last couple of days so don't know whether I'm ov or not, but I suspect I'm close, but just can't think about dtd at the moment. How on earth am I meant to choose between trying for a baby and my fil. Despite him being a grumpy sod I still love him like a father.
Oh confessed earlier that it seems like fil is giving up on life and wants OH to come to the solicitors later next week to get his affairs in order and sign the house into our names. I just can't understand why he is giving up. OH has been there again tonight, and it seems like he hasn't had a proper meal in weeks nor sleep. The infection is getting worse, and I think we are going to have to take him to hospital tomorrow. It's getting more and more obvious that he can no longer look after himself. He can't cook himself meals, hasn't been upstairs for weeks. Oh is beside himself, but FIL still won't accept help. I just don't know what to do.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
