Trying for a Baby Part 7

Speaking of money, my friend won £27000 on the lottery. I mean how lucky she is??? She went out and bought folic acid after the won, they wanted to wait another year but now trying. If she carries on like this, she will be pregnant in no time!
WOW lucky ladyIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Hi all. Well after the longest cycle of my life I am now CD1. Aunt Flow has some explaining to do about where the heck she has been for the last 2 weeks! I never thought I said this but am so relieved she is here. PMT and cramps for 2 weeks is not fun!
I'm a bit concerned that my cycles are now all over the place since the ectopic so I won't have a clue when the best time to BD is. But at least Aunt Flow has turned up now.
I think I will have to temp this cycle to try and see when and if I am actually ovulating.
Hugs to those on CD1 xx0 -
Hi ladies, we need some PMA on here...big big ((hugs)) to all those with AF or feeling low at the moment.
Abis it's great to hear about your temperature rise. :j
I'm afraid I am feeling really rubbish today, hope to be back later with a PMA list...
We DTD this morning but OH didn't manage to complete.... and then tried again at lunchtime with the same resultIt's so difficult, I am really trying not to put any pressure on him, and he says he thinks he is putting the pressure on himself. But it's tricky, you either try for a baby (which includes having sex when you might not feel like it) or you don't... So I'm feeling a bit
about it all today. But don't want to be angry at DH because I think it is getting him a bit down too.
I seem like each month we are trying we are still not managing to give things the best shot we could - I am trying to keep my lifestyle reasonably healthy, temping, folic acid, cough syrup bla bla bla but there is no point if we aren't getting the swimmers in at the right time. May as well have that extra cup of coffee or glass of wine!
Had my hair cut this morning and feel a bit better for it , but having one of those bleurgh days where I feel really unattractive so, in a bid to improve things, I am going to book myself in for some sessions at the gym - I got a great deal on groupon for a local gym :money:and am going to try and go regularly. Also want to get some new underwear and have some beauty treatments which is not very :money:but might make me a bit more cheerful. It would be nice to feel a bit sexier for all the sex!
I love this thread... it's so nice to be able to come and chat to other people about all this stuff. I can't imagine telling even close friends some of the things I share on here! Thanks for all the support
ETA: Just read this back. I am a miserable old hag today, feel free to ignore me, but thank you for letting me rant0 -
Hugs for CD1 Candlewax. Hope your cycle length improves soon. Mine are longer than I would like too
Loving the PMA list tinkwings
Hope the acupuncture goes well for you ladies. Is it your first times? Apparently there is someone who does acupuncture in the small town where I live. Am wondering whether to speak to them or not...
Awwww, MrsJ - huge hugs. My DH was feeling a bit pressurised the other month too. I obviously completely helped things by having a huge breakdown and lots of tears about how I couldn't do this part on my own:o:o:o
I'm trying not to put too much pressure on either of us, but obviously when you are ov'ing you need to BD as much as possible. I've kept it at a consistant 2-3 days maximum throughout the month, and tried to BD every day when I think I am about to ov (its not actually definately happened yet - will need my temp to keep on rising for the next couple of days) So that way if it has been 3 days since BD, then hopefully some of the old sperms are hanging around still (altho they might be a bit tired by then)
My DH prob hasn't noticed that we are BDing every 2-3 days, and I suspect he is unaware that its written down on my chart so I don't forget :rotfl::rotfl:
I know exactly what you mean about not having a glass of wine etc. A couple of weeks ago we went out for a friends 30th birthday and I decided to have a drink anyway. I hadn't ov'ed at that point and I figured DH would be having a drink even tho it could effect his swimmers more than it would effect my egg.
I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to be in optimum shape, and if we do have a drink that might have been why we didn't conceive that month etc. But its daft really. So many woman get pregnant by accident and still drink alcohol, coffee and don't take folic acid.
I know where possible its obviously advisable to follow guidelines and limit alcohol, caffeine etc. I get worried though that people will think I already am pregnant if I aren't drinking when in company. They will be awaiting an announcement kind of thing. Some people know we are trying, and some don't.
I think a new haircut sounds fabAnd I think new undies / beauty treatments is a good plan too. Its nice to have something to look forward to and to de-stress us all whilst TTC.
Yayyy for the groupon deal on the gym as well
Come and have a chat anytime with us  At least we know how you are feeling. I love this board too. Its such a massive help being able to chat about things that you can't necessarily talk about in RL. Like the stretchy CM chat the other day :rotfl::rotfl:Married my lobster in July 2011
TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait
 2013 is going to be our lucky year :dance:0 -
Hi all,
Well, into my 2nd month of TTC and its CD12. We've BDed (is that how you write it?!) for the past 3 days. I haven't had a lot of EWCM this month... or maybe its still to come... I don't think OH will be too impressed with having to BD for many more days!
I have a question if thats ok... I know the sperm can live for a few days.. but I read that a lot of you try and BD on the day you OV. Is there an increased chance of conception on that day??:o I don't temp so have no idea when I OV.. should we BD whilst there's EWCM and a day or two beyond. Or is it too late once the EWs gone?
thanks.
ps. hugs to all that need them.£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -

TeamLowe, no SSing
Candlewax, (((hugs))), hopefully your cycle is back to normal from now on:o
mrsj28, (((hugs))), my DH also has the same problem (not being able to finish near ov time). Seems TTC BD is massive pressure for DH/OHs0 -

But egg can come out quite a bit later, and the swimmers are known to swim up without the help of ewcm, so it's always worth a shot (BD for few days after ewcm has gone).0 -
Last day at work before hols.
AF cramps all day.
Very busy (although not too busy to have a quick look on here!)
Nuff said!
Hoping a vodka when I get home will cure everything.0 -
hi everyone,
just been catching up on peoples posts, sending everyone hugs that needs them or where af has shown her evil face!
mrsj28- going through similar things with my oh this month with DTD. sending hugs to you. I thought i had ov last weekend (from cm) so we bd on this monday hoping to catch it but i resumed the opk testing which picked up a positive and so we carried on bd and a little bit more just to be sure so we ending up bding every day for the last 4 days, which for us is very very good!
hoping that we caught the eggy some where. But yesterday was a bit difficult, oh says he feels its 'his responsibility to perform' even though i havent actually said that or tired to put too much pressure on him, but if we want a baby he has to finish his job, iyswim.:)
so its a vicious circle, i do wish sometimes i could do it on my own.and for this month i just wanted for a change to be able to say that we have done everything we can do timing/bd wise to try to have a baby and if it doesnt happens it doesnt happen but least we have tried our best. So yesterday was a bit of a stop start day we got there in the end but it was quite stressful it hanging over us, as bad as it sounds on the days we dont feel like doing it, but it has to be done, its much better getting it done in the morning and having the rest of the day free!
ah i feel bad for saying that though, but like you have said if you want a baby you have to sometimes especially if it is the right time bd even if your tired.
my opk was negative yesterday so hopefully we have done all we can so QQ if you can change me to 1dpo ill assume i ov later and just see what happens fingers crossed .
great pma list as well (think it was nikki) sounds good to plan and break up the month into parts, think i will be doing that next month as well in terms of meal planning and hopefully getting some exercise in as well.0 -
Just had a weepy convo with OH on the phone, he was lovely and said we'll just try harder next month but not get stressed too much about timing
he said that he read that just BDing every other day or so throughout the month is better than timing, becuase of the stress involved etc..
He has also promised I can bring in outside help if we are not successful in the next few months :rotfl:We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.
