Hi Rups. And hello everyone else.

Low PMA today. A guy I work with had to rush off today because his girlfriend went into labour. I am pleased for them but it did make me think about how much I want to cuddle my own baby and whether that will ever happen. I feels like it never will. And everytime I put the tv on that damn pampers ad with the scan is on. Facebook is also a nightmare with all the scan photos and day by day pregnancy updates.

    CD43 today. Sigh.

Thanks guys!! I've calmed down a bit. I went back and they've changed the antibiotics again for me - still spotting so no idea now whether I've ov'd or not & whether I'm still due to ov, have only ov'd in the last day or two or whether it's a sneaky AF? I thought the cbfm was supposed to clear all of this up :rotfl:
It doesn't matter either way I suppose as I can't lie down to bd & I haven't got the breath do do it any other way :o. I just hate not knowing where I stand. I've got a fridge full of pee & am no better off than when I started!!

Am going to disappear & catch up on the rest of the thread properly now. In the meantime hugs for flee & bigz & sa ra ra & anyone else that needs/wants them!

Fannyanna, I know what you mean, especially with noticing the PCOS symptoms getting worse, I've definitely got more whiskers these days!
What helps me is thinking that just losing 10% of my body weight can greatly reduce symptoms/increase fertility so I take that as my interim goal as the whole figure of what I need to lose seems insourmountable. And it's worked for me once, lost it and got pregnant, but m a big comfort eater so some of it piled back on after the mc
I also keep in mind that I'd rather not be fat and pregnant. A good friend of mine is a lot bigger than me and even when she was full term you could still mistake her for just being fat :o I want a lovely rounded bump to show off. Shallow, yes, but it's keeping me focussed
And when I need a kick up the butt I think of a phrase someone said to me once 'everyone wants to have lost weight but nobody wants to lose weight'

Rups, welcome! Glad to see you're in a positive headspace, if you get me. Hope you get your forever baby soon x x

I know what you mean, I've never been diagnosed with PCOS but I do have some of the signs of it. Not that I am saying I have it, but there is a chance.
But I am overweight, quite a lot infact, was horrified to find out last week that I am now over 15 stone at 5ft3. And I know I would love a proper baby bump.
It's really given me the kick up the backside I need, hence joining the gym and getting a bike. I just need the will power to stick with it.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

On the weight loss side I've lost half a stone this week :j. Can I recommend the "adverse affects to antibiotics" diet??

    hi everyone,

just catching up on your posts while watching obem on catch up.

flee- hope the step back gives you some space and you get your bfp soon.

primmer- thanks for the info about the luteal phase least i suppose ill have less time to find out if its a bfp or the dreaded af!

bigzippy-no i havent tried the concieve plus or pre seed think i might be trying that next month though.

QQ- sorry to hear work is taking up a lot of your time, hoping it will ease up for you soon and give you a break.

fannyanna- hoping the hospital goes well for you tomorrow, hoping you are able not to worry too much tonight.

rups32- hi rups ive seen you on the miscarriage board as well, good to see you over here hoping that your stay is short.

afm did an opk this afternoon after yesterdays was positive and its positivie again today as well!! so not sure what to make of that and whether ov has already taken place or will so looks like we will try again to bd tomorrow and possible the day after as well! think oh will need a 2ww to recover :)

i know i should probably be taking my temp, but im such a bad sleeper i never get a solid block of sleep so i would wake up at 5 go back to sleep and then be up again at 6, and again at 7.

and on that note im off to bed to have a bit of an early night have a good night everyone.

Evening all, another returnee here. I was briefly on the under 12 weeks thread after a BFP on 3-2, sadly it was not meant to be and miscarried last week. I appear to have been lucky and have already had a negative test so we will be slowly starting to TTC again - in theory in a relaxed fashion but I know we both would like to see a BFP again ASAP!

Anyway, one of the few nice things is catching up with you all again - sign us up please Quaver!!

Lots of lucky baby dust all xxx

Can't have clomid til at least the end of May when I see the gynae again. No point having that if there's something else going on that we don't know about, so waiting for the rest of the tests and results first, and concentrating on doing what I can by losing weight and BDing whenever possible, in the meantime. There's been no point having clomid til I'm of an appropriate weight anyway, and I read that in something like 98% of cases - where weight is an issue - fertility treatment is no more effective than losing weight is... so I just have to do what I'm doing for now, I think, and take solace in the fact that every lb I lose is going to mean a healthier pregnancy and baby as a result. :o

That's exactly what I did - broke it down into smaller targets, otherwise it was just too daunting and -yes- insurmountable. I've just worked out that I've now lost over 17% of myself :D
I also keep in mind that I'd rather not be fat and pregnant. A good friend of mine is a lot bigger than me and even when she was full term you could still mistake her for just being fat :o I want a lovely rounded bump to show off. Shallow, yes, but it's keeping me focussed
I feel the same.;) I've a mate who just looks - I'm afraid to say - like a fatty, rather than an 8month pregnant lady :o A lot of it is that she was overweight to begin with, but also when she got pg she embraced the "eating for 2"/"baby craves...." idea rather vigorously ;) I'd also rather have photos with my baby that I wouldn't be horrified of showing off - I couldn't bear photos of myself last year and had to closely vet all of them. I took some arms length ones on the weekend with DH and was actually really surprised how much my face shape has changed and I don't have double chins on them now! I definitely don't want to look at pictures of me with my newborn and wish I could either edit myself out, or go back in time and lose weight/a chin...;):o
And when I need a kick up the butt I think of a phrase someone said to me once 'everyone wants to have lost weight but nobody wants to lose weight'
    Very true :p

:rotfl: I could also recommend "major tooth/jaw ache and can't eat anything that's not soft/not cold/not too hot/needs chewing" diet ;)
