Cleo, as I understand it, your estrogen increases -causing fertile cm - which then kicks off the LH that your opk picks up on, then you ov. I would try to bd til your opks are negative plus a day, as the positive opk usually means you will ov within 12-36 hrs. Have you got some pre seed or conceive plus you can use in the absence of fertile cm?

Grrrr flaming doctors. I've been back in because the pneumonia isn't getting any better & I also wanted to mention tho spotting - which isn't going anywhere and I didn't know whether it was something to do with these antibiotics. She listens to my chest - looks at my form which states that I might be pregnant (no idea when I ov'd but think it may have been last week sometime) & said - the pneumonia getting worse we'll change your tablets & give you an inhaler too. Just sat down to read the new antibiotics leaflet which states DO NOT take Doxycycline if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breast feeding as this medicine can cause problems with the colour & development of teeth and the bone development of the unborn child or young infant.

Seriously????? I'm a little bit on the angry side!!

Hugs to all going through a tough time.

Flee - hope the relaxed approach works for you. When you say taking a break, is your cycle regular enough to be able to extra BD around ov without all the testing/ temping stress?

I say that because I have a fairly regular cycle & based on what I have learnt from this forum & monitoring my cycle over the last 6 months, I know that if we BD from day 11 for 5 consecutive days we are highly likely to be at the right time.

I'm not saying that's highly likely to result in a pg!

I've still got OPKs so will be using them from CD10 for this month but may try & resist buying more (or maybe I'll just have some ICs). Will also have SA results in a couple of weeks which may influence next steps.

CD1 here - on time & as anticipated. Said to OH last night that my period was due - he said 'well it might not come'. HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO EXPLAIN THAT YOU NEED TO BD AT THE CORRECT TIME?

Obviously I calmly said (again), that it would come as we hadn't been able to BD due to SA. Good job I love him!

It's incredible isn't it?! My OH is yet another one that seems to think a quick seeing to at any time of the month should be enough.

Last month he asked when was too soon to test - on CD3 *rolleseyes*
