Was going to start SMEP but its CD8 and am at work, so will start on CD10 hopefully. Did not ov til late last month so hopefully will catch that eggy and hope its a sticky one
We didn't SMEP properly and it worked for us. We BDd on CDs 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and then gave up! I wasn;t sure if I oVd on CD 12 or CD 14 as my mucus wasn't conclusive this month.trixietoes wrote: »
I was thinking of SMEPing this month. Can I just check I have it right please.
OPK test from around CD10 (for me who ov's about CD16)
BD every other day from CD 10 to OV
BD every day for 3 days. Have a rest for a day and once more for luck.
Then keep everything crossed for a BFP. Is there anything else I need to be doing?

THanks all. It's odd cos I don;t feel that happy - I think with my history I just am too scared to get attached mentally just yet. I'd like an early scan around 7 weeks but I don;t think we can afford it. I just have to hope that this one is OK and grows properly. I wish I could feel all joyous and delighted but I just can't. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I know what you mean about not getting attached. I lost my first one and it's been a real conflict of emotions this time. Do you have a sympathetic doctor who you maybe swing you an NHS scan at 6/7 weeks?
I really hope this one is extra sticky for you.

I can certainly ask, it's a good idea emsbet. I've had two miscarriages, but they have been before and after my live birth, and round here they don;t do much for you till you've had three in a row, no matter how many others you've had.
I know that if I said I was bleeding, they would scan me at the EPU, but that place is horrible, I've spent far too much time in there already, and I also don;t want to tempt fate in any way.
But I think I will ask my GP - he is lovely and very sympathetic. The worst he can say is no. THanks for the idea.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I agree, I hate the EPU here, too many memories and emotions in that room!
But WOOHOO Skintchick! I bet the Tesco digis simply read a higher level of HCG or that it had escalated enough during the afternoon to register ok.
Just cos you have had problems in the past it doesn't mean you will this time, so try ty try to relax (so hard I know!!)
Congrats hun.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
skintchick wrote: »Evening all! I'm sorry to have kept you all on tenterhooks but I've had a very up and down day and this is the first chance I'd had to be on here.
DD woke up at 6.10 this morning, ugh, so I PIAC and put it on the side before going back to bed.
When I got up properly around 8 I did another Asda cheapie and got another faint line, although slightly darker than yesterday's, so I put my wee in a jar with a lid that had been washed in the dishwasher, stuck it in my handbag, and on the way to our day out I bought some digis. I went to Tesco and saw they now do their own digi tests and as they were £8 for 2 I got those.
Back in the car I put the test together, dipped it, and sat it on my lap as I drove. After a while I looked down to see 'Not pregnant'.Gutted. It put me on a bit of a downer but DD and I had a lovely morning out anywy once I'd managed to forget it a bit.
On the way to our afternoon playdate, I popped into town and went to Boots to get some Cleablue digis with my Boots points as I was very aware of how much I was spending on tests, but I was convinced I was pregnant and not happy with the Tesco result!
I had weed at midday so held it and held it for when I got home. Had a cup of tea and a coffee at my friend's so was bursting by 5pm when we headed home,
Nearly home and my car broke! My tyre had gone completely flat and I couldn;t drive it! By now I was almost wetting myself, had to get DD into the spare buggy in the boot, load up the buggy with all our stuff and walk home.
So I got home busting for the loo, rained on, in a bad mood and feeling shaky from lack of food. sorted DD out and then PIAC.
Got tea on, etc., then used a Clearblue digi. I thought I ought to wait til tomorrow but to be honest 5-6 hours is hte longest I go wihtout a wee these days anyway so I reckoned it would be OK. I expected to be disappointed but so confused about the Asda cheapies unless i'd had a dodgy batch or they were evaporation lines.
Anyway, dipped the Clearblue and went off to play with DD.
Remembered about the test while rearranging dolls in the dolls house, went to check it and...
